>>>Infernal embrace
..................................................................................................................................................................................Third Pov
As Thane and Gage descended into the infernal depths of the underworld, Thane reassured Gage with a firm yet gentle tone, "I'll show you around. You don't need to worry about the heat—you're immune because of me." Thane needed Gage to understand their destined connection, but he couldn't bring himself to say it outright.
They arrived at Thane's home, a grand and imposing citadel, where they were greeted by numerous servants known as mongrels—the lowest creatures of hell.
Upon entering a room, Gage was struck by its vastness, far larger than the one Thane had on Earth, yet with similar intricate designs.
"Make yourself comfortable, gem," Thane said softly. "It will be a while before my brothers arrive, so rest, okay?"
Gage hesitated for a moment, then slipped under the covers of the expansive bed. Exhaustion overcame him, and he soon drifted into a deep, troubled sleep.
---
*Inside Gage's head*
"Mum! Mum! Mum, please come back, don't leave me, please! Mum, I'm sorry, please! Daddy! Stop, stop!"
"Gage..."
*Sinister laughter echoing*
"Gageeeeeee, GAGE!"
Screaming and running, Gage tried desperately to escape his uncle's cruel grasp.
"Please, please stop, I'm sorry."
"You brats! You are a punishment and frustration to those around you."
The haunting words, the pain, the shackles—he remembered it all vividly.
---
*Outside his head*
"Gage, Gage," Thane called softly, his voice filled with urgency. "Wake up, please. You're dreaming, Gage."
Thane's heart ached as he listened to Gage's desperate cries for help.
"Gage! It's okay, I'm here, I'm here for you."
"Thane," Gage sobbed, "please don't leave me. Don't be like them, please. I'm sorry." He broke down, his body shaking with emotion.
"I won't leave you, I promise."
Thane held Gage tightly, feeling his pain and fear as if it were his own. He whispered soothing words, his heart breaking at the sight of Gage's vulnerability. He feared losing him, the one person who meant everything to him. As they clung to each other, the intensity of their emotions mingled, and they both eventually drifted into a restless sleep, finding solace in each other's arms.

The remaining siblings entered Thane's chambers quietly, their eyes immediately drawn to the entwined figures of Thane and Gage, spooned together in a tangle of sheets. A soft glow of morning light seeped through the heavy curtains, casting an ethereal glow on the room.
Elijah, bearing the air of Pride, smirked. "Well, isn't this a sight to behold," he murmured, his voice a mixture of amusement and curiosity.
Malakai, the embodiment of Envy, crossed his arms and scowled. "Must be nice," he muttered, his tone tinged with bitterness.
Gideon, ever the one to indulge, chuckled softly. "They do look quite... content, don't they?"
Muzan, whose greed was matched only by his cunning, stepped forward, his eyes narrowing as he studied the two. "Content, yes, but perhaps not without consequence."
Kurgan, moving with a languid grace, nodded in agreement. "Consequences can be so... inconvenient."
Asher, the very essence of Lust, gave a knowing smile. "Inconvenient? Or just another delicious challenge?"
Their soft voices stirred Thane, who blinked awake, his arms still wrapped protectively around Gage. Gage stirred next, his face turning a deep shade of red as he realized they had an audience.
"Good morning," Thane said, his voice still husky with sleep. "To what do we owe this... intrusion, don't you knock?"
Elijah stepped forward, his eyes gleaming. "We were curious about your night, brother."
Gage, attempting to pull away, found himself held in place by Thane’s gentle grip. "We didn't mean to—"
"Relax," Gideon interjected, his tone soothing. "We’re just here for a little... conversation."
Muzan's eyes sharpened as he noticed a mark on Gage's neck, half-hidden by the collar of his shirt. "What’s this?" he asked, his voice carrying a note of genuine interest.
Thane's expression turned serious as he exposed the mark fully. "It’s Azrael's mark," he said. "It belongs to my brother."
A collective murmur filled the room. "Azrael's mark," Kurgan echoed. "That complicates things."
"Indeed," Muzan agreed, his eyes darkening. "This mark can only be removed by Lucifer’s doing."
A collective sigh filled the room. "That will be difficult," Kurgan drawled, his voice heavy with the weight of impending challenge.
"Lucifer isn’t known for being... cooperative," Malakai added, his envy momentarily overshadowed by concern.
Gage's blush deepened as he felt the weight of their gazes on him. "So what do we do?" he asked, his voice barely above a whisper.
Elijah, always one to take charge, stepped closer. "We face this together. As we always have."
Malakai, still wrestling with his envy, nodded grudgingly. "For better or worse."
Gideon smiled, a glimmer of hope in his eyes. "We’ll find a way."
Thane squeezed Gage’s hand, his eyes filled with a mixture of determination and affection. "We will get out of this."
Asher's smile widened, his eyes alight with a playful fire. "Lucifer's demands will be steep, but what's a little suffering if it leads to pleasure and power?"
The room fell into a thoughtful silence, each brother lost in their own thoughts about the trials to come. But in that moment, there was a shared understanding, a bond that went beyond their sins and rivalries. They were a family bound together by fate and blood, ready to face any challenge, no matter how daunting, united in purpose and resolve.
