The perilous path of south

Thirds Pov

Gage and Thane prepared themselves to face Lucifer in the ominous Infernum Spire

Thane  turned to Gage with a penetrating gaze, his voice a low growl. "Tell me, what happened after I left the Sanctum? What did you see?" The question hung in the air like a storm cloud, ready to unleash its fury.

Gage's heart raced, but he remained silent, refusing to meet Thane's eyes. The room seemed to close in around them, the oppressive heat of the underworld intensifying.

Frustration twisted Thane's features. You will speak, or you will face consequences far worse than my wrath. Lucifer can unravel your mind and bring forth the darkest of hallucinations."

Even with the threat of unspeakable torment, Gage stood firm. "No," he whispered, his voice steady but filled with a hint of fear.

Thane's eyes blazed with anger. With a snarl, he stormed out of the room, leaving behind an aura of seething rage.

Moments later, Gideon (Greed) slipped into the room, his presence a stark contrast to Thane's fury. He moved with a predatory grace, his eyes glinting with a mix of curiosity and hunger.

"Gage," Gideon murmured, his voice smooth as silk. "Come with me. Let's see if Lucifer can be persuaded to... spare you."

With a mixture of trepidation and resolve, Gage followed Gideon into the dark corridors of the Infernum Spire, each step taking him closer to a fate unknown.

Thane stood in front of lucifer, his face devoid of any emotion.

"To what do i owe the visit Wrath, after the last time you true to kill me". Lucifer said smirking at thanes demenour.

Thane told lucifer everything about the santum and his brother,Azreals markings.  Every demon in the room could sense that Thane was about to burst with anger the moment he mentioned the markings.

"So what do you say? ",Thane asked his voice subtle.

Lucifer seemed amused by the tension in the room. The way Gages eyes where full of worry and fear, the way his other creations, the sins. Where all seated with there curiosity at its peek. Then he pondered for a moment ,and spoke.

"I'll do it",he said and the entire room falls silent.

"At what price, surely you being you Lucy there's always a price. Thane said mockingly.

"You have a price to pay," Lucifer said, staring at Gage with curious eyes.

Thane followed Lucifer's gaze, his eyes narrowing at the sight. "You can't take him. You've given him enough nightmares," Thane's voice boomed, reverberating through the infernal chamber.

Lucifer's eyes flared with a malevolent glint. "I don't want your mate, wretch. And don't forget your place beneath me," Lucifer said, his voice dripping with condescension.

"Then what is it you want?" Thane asked, struggling to keep his composure as he stared at Lucifer with nothing but hatred in his eyes.

"I want your bones," Lucifer replied, his voice a chilling whisper. "I want my wings back."

"You want your wings back?" Malakia, one of the gathered demons, interjected, his eyes bulging at the revelation.

"Yes, I want my wings back," Lucifer confirmed, his tone brooking no argument. "I want them back, in exchange for removing your  brother's markings  Thane ."

A murmur of shock rippled through the assembled demons. Only the Queen of the Southern Underworld, the river spirit, possessed the power to make the wings of angels grow and heal back. It was a rare and formidable gift, one that had been coveted for millennia.

"Only the Queen of the Southern Underworld can restore your wings," Thane said, the weight of Lucifer's demand settling heavily on his shoulders. "And you know how dangerous she is."

Lucifer's grin widened, his eyes gleaming with wicked delight. "Indeed, I do. But that is your problem, Thane. Bring me my wings, and I will free Gage from his torment."

Gage doesn't have much time left; Lucifer said so. In less than a week, he'd be a Forsaken—a soul trapped between realms, tormented by both angelic and demonic forces. The angel's marks are relentless, designed to strip away Gage's essence, turning him into a vessel for divine retribution. We must prevent it, and I must grow my wings.

Thane's jaw tightened, his mind racing as he considered the perilous task ahead. The essence of hell, with its unending torment and treachery, loomed over him, a constant reminder of the perilous path he had chosen to honor Gage.

"I'll do it," Thane said finally, his voice firm and resolute. "But if you betray me, I will hunt you down, Lucifer. Not even hell will be able to protect you from my wrath."

Lucifer's laughter echoed through the chamber, a sound that sent shivers down the spines of all who heard it. "Very well, Thane. I look forward to our next meeting," he said, his voice a sinister purr. "Now go, and do not return until you have my wings."

As Thane turned to leave, the flames of hell seemed to burn even brighter, casting long, ominous shadows that foretold the trials and tribulations that lay ahead. The essence of hell, with its unending torment and treachery, loomed over him, a constant reminder of the perilous path he had chosen.

"Are you nuts? The Southern Queen? Surely you're crazy, brother," Kurgan, the Sloth, said.

"I'm not, Kurgan, and he's my mate. I can't let him go through divine retribution," Thane said through gritted teeth.

The seven brothers were talking amongst themselves, discussing tactics for heading to the southern part, until Gage broke the silence.

"What happens when Lucifer dies?" he asked, his expression one of curiosity and innocence.

The entire room seemed to suffocate with tension, and all the sins stiffened.

"Then we die," Asher said.

"We go with him," Elijah spoke.

"After all, we are all one and the same, the same demonic heart," Malakai interjected.

"That's the only damned reason why he isn't dead," Thane growled.

"That and him being the King of Hell?" Muzan injected.

"When are you leaving to the south, brother?" Kurgan asked.

Kurgan has always been their favorite, for he is the youngest.

"When Hell's time reaches," Thane replied.

"This is really dangerous, brother, but nonetheless, we stick together," Gideon spoke, and soon, there was only silence.
