Stephanie house was filled with relatives and family friends.

Stephanie father: I want to thank you all for coming especially on such short notice but it's what Rose would have wanted, for all of you to be here for her. She always loved being around friends and family so...*sigh* thank you all for coming.

The last part was heavy for him to say looking like he could break down any moment.

: It's okay Paul we understand and we're sorry we made you rush things because of how busy we are.

: You just need to stay strong for the kids.

Paul: thank you really thank you all for your support.

The group were talking in a different room talking.

Jane: I would say let's talk but I'm worried about the elephant in the room.

Esther: so I'm the problem right now?

Stephanie: hanging around Loud did make you smarter.

Esther: so I'm stupid too.

Jane: it depends.

Max: what's going on here?

Stephanie: just talking about a problem.

Esther: I think I should go.

Max: hold on, I don't know what going on here but can you show us your right arm.

Esther: what?

Jane: why do you want to see her arm.

Max: call it a hunch but I can't let her leave unless I see it.

Esther: I'm not showing you my arm.

Kevin: and why not? You want to leave so just show him your hand and you can go.

Max: don't make this harder than it is Loud isn't here.

Esther look around not seeing any possible escape before giving up lifting up her sleeve showing different bruises on her arm.

Jane: what the hell?

Stephanie: how did you?

Esther: Lincoln, he does this anytime I call him Loud or try to get away from him, he said he wants me to know I'm stuck with him.

Kevin: that's just messed up.

Jane: didn't your sister notice any of this?

Esther: I'll get in trouble if I do, I'm sure I'm already in trouble he always knows when am talking about him.

Stephanie: relax it's going to be alright everything is gonna be fine.

Esther: will it?

Stephanie: it will, we didn't know we're sorry for not trusting you.

Douglas: so what now?

James: at this point is there anything we can do.

Max: we all know Loud is a killer but we don't know how to prove it if we could the police could do something.

Jane: and do we do that?

Stephanie: even if we did wouldn't he just pull the insanity card.

Esther phone beeped with her looking at it.

Esther: it's Lincoln, he said he wants me to come home before it begins to rain.

Max: you should go. We'll keep thinking about what to do in the meantime.

Esther grabbed her things walking out the room with Stephanie's aunt who had a cast on her right eye and a couple bandages.

Aunt: like I said there wasn't any car trouble or anything her phone just kept ringing. It rang probably more than a hundred times she wasn't answer because she was in a bad mood about being fired so when she wanted to pick it up she lost her focus on the road that were the truck came out of nowhere.

: Oh shoot.

Aunt: kids we didn't see you there.

Stephanie: are you saying it was the person that killed mom.

Aunt: you kids just need to-

Stephanie: tell me.

Uncle: you need to take it easy she's still not fully healed up yet.

They walked out leaving the group as Stephanie back slide down the wall as she put her hand in her face.

Esther return home heading to her bedroom seeing Lincoln sitting on her bed.

Lincoln: how'd it go?

Esther walked up to the sitting before leaning on Lincoln beginning to cry.

Lincoln: dear dear it's okay.

Esther: you were right they don't care about me.

Lincoln: you don't need to worry about it. It'll be alright I'm here for you I'll always be here for you so don't worry.

Esther: I don't want you to hurt them and please tell me did you kill Stephanie's mom.

Lincoln: ..... Listen I-

Esther: please tell me the truth I don't want any lies.

Lincoln: I didn't I swear. All I was torment her and the other.

Esther: why did you take everything to the next level?

Lincoln: listen it's been a long day why don't you go take a shower and relax a bit it's not good for you.

Esther: but-

Lincoln: no buts go take a shower and I'll draw you a bath. I want you to take a nice long bath.

Esther: okay.

Lincoln: I'll go draw the bath then I'll order some food then we can watch a movie.

Lincoln got off the bed kissing her on the forehead before walking out of the room.

Esther was in shower the scars and bruises washing off as the water hit her skin leaving it without a single mark before stepping out of the shower walking towards the bathtub checking the waters temperature before getting in as it rained heavily out.

Esther was sleeping on Lincoln's chest while Lincoln patted her back gently.

Esther: Lincoln aren't you going to sleep?

Lincoln: in due time sweetheart.

Esther: . . . Lincoln are...are you the Ace?

Lincoln: . . . I am. What are you going do with that information?

Esther: what information? I asked if you weren't going to sleep.

Lincoln: I don't think you're stupid.

Esther: I know you don't.

Lincoln: you don't need to worry about anything I'll look after you and always be by you.

Esther: I love you Lincoln.

Lincoln: I know you do.

Lincoln eyes were red and looked crazy.
