In the end, Mingi found himself sleeping in Wooyoung and Jongho's room. He sat on the bed before widening his eyes and looking around the room. He just remembered that Hongjoong is also in the room and that he was sleeping on his bed. Mingi was in a smiling mess as it suddenly hit him. The thing that happened last night. 

  "Oh, hyung. You're awake? " A Jongho peeked down at Mingi who was on the bottom bunk of the bed. Jongho continued to scroll on his phone. "Wooyoung and Seonghwa brought you in here instead because San slept on your bed and that knuck head's own bed was covered in drool. You were lucky enough Seonghwa was there otherwise, Wooyoung might had let you sleep on San's saliva." Jongho admitted as he laughed scornfully. 

  Mingi got up and went to the bathroom. After that, he opened the door to find Seonghwa feeding the other members like children but there was no Hongjoong. Mingi thought of Hongjoong at the studio as the members gave him food which was.. oddly specious because usually the members always fight over who gets the last food and also steal foods too. Mingi froze and slowly looked up just to find everyone looking at him. 

  "What? " Mingi asked and suddenly the table got loud and messy. Wooyoung with his one breath yapping, Yunho using his spiderman figures to poke Mingi and so much more. Mingi snapped and went out of the dorm slamming the door as he did. Seonghwa then came out of his room andscolded the members for making a mess while targeting San for not washing his own dishes. 

  Mingi took his things and went out of the apartment to roam around the city. Mingi was still bothered by what happened but he just couldn't meet Hongjoong face to face after last night. Soon enough, the members were worried about him. 

  At the dorm, the other members was all gathered up, trying to help. Mingi was being quiet and gloomy, Hongjoong didn't update how it's going at the studio, everything is messy and the members are getting worried but they decided to slow down first. "Where's Mingi? " Seonghwa asked. The entire table then took awkward glances at each other which made the eldest arch his eyebrows. "Guys.. We talked about this.. No hiding things from each other right?" Seonghwa noted as he caught Yeosang walking away. 

  "Yes" The other members said in unison as they sat closer to each other. "I think Mingi and Hongjoong fought.. " Yunho broke the silence, the other members nodded their heads in agreement as they looked back at Seonghwa who was sighing. "Well.. We can talk about this later, we have practice in an hour. " Seonghwa noted as he went into his room. The other members then looked at each other, slowly getting up from their seats as all of them ran into the room as if it was a marathon race. 

  "Wooyoung and San go do the dishes!! " Seonghwa said in the room. Woosan groaned and mocked Seonghwa while doing the dishes. San placed a bubble on Wooyoung's head and laughed uncontrollably while Wooyoung got annoyed and splashed water at San making him gasp and widen his eyes. They then kept fighting without the members knowing until Wooyoung filled a container with water and threw it at San. "How you like that?" Wooyoung laughed as San sprinkled water on him.

  The following days after "That Night" were awkward silences and everything that didn't help both Hongjoong and Mingi get better at all. Mingi tried focusing on his work, throwing himself into practices and song writing but, none of those could help him get the courage to talk to Hongjoong. He missed the times where he could effortlessly have conversations with Hongjoong, laugh with him and spend more time with him at the studio freely. 

  Hongjoong on the other hand, wasn't getting better as well. Avoiding Mingi was extremely hard for him but he just can't seem to look at Mingi properly now, with his mind constantly replaying the moment he kissed Mingi made him feel regretful. Did Mingi like it? Did Mingi feel disgusted with me? He was the one who started it though. Hongjoong blamed himself on the situation. He also can't reconcile with the role Mingi had played in his life. Best friends or Lover? The question haunted Hongjoong everyday and everytime he's at the studio. 

  The other members are still trying to get them talking again. Since Hongjoong is finally back to practice with Ateez, the air in the practice room was heavy and uneasy. Woosan exchanging worried glances, Yunhwa trying to make things more comfortable by making jokes and teasing other members, Yeosang sitting silently, observing the drama while Jongho who couldn't stand it anymore, decided to step in.

  "Hyung, can we talk for a minute?" Jongho asked after the practice, pulling Mingi aside as he hinted the other members to keep walking.

  Mingi nodded, his eyebrow arched as he knew Jongho was going to question him. " Sure, what's up? "

  Jongho's expression was serious. "Okay, look, I don't know what exactly is going on between you and Hongjoong, but it's affecting everyone. You need to talk to him, hyung. Seriously.

  Mingi looked down and sighed, running a hand through his hair. " I know. It's just.. I don't want to make things worse.. "

  "And do you think not talking is making everything better? " Jongho said gently, not wanting to make it like he's scolding someone who's older than him. "You both need to speak up. It's not easy and I know but avoiding it isn't going to make anything easier for everyone. "

  Mingi agreed with Jongho. The night after everyone had left, he found himself daydreaming at the practice room, waiting for Hongjoong. He knew that Hongjoong isn't going to come but he had one hope as he noticed Hongjoong's earbuds which he always forgets to keep it with him. Mingi decided to wait a little longer as he looked at the screen of his phone.

The screen then slowly faded black as he sighed. Would Hongjoong show up? Mingi sat in the practice room as he dozed off. Surely Hongjoong will show up. Right?

                                I also know that this chapter isn't kinda happy but I'll give a tiny spoiler. Chapter4 is surely going to be happy!
