Stargazing

After Hongjoong and Mingi reconciled, it didn't take too long for the other members to notice the sudden closeness between the rap line. Wooyoung's the one that observes the most. During practice he was unable to control himself and he questioned both rappers.

  "Mingi hyung, Hongjoong hyung, what's going on with you two? Is there something you'd like to share with us?" Because of Wooyoung asking, the other members looked at Mingi and Hongjoong, basically preening at them at this point.

  "Nothing happened actually, we both just talked about some problems and we are okay now" Hongjoong broke the silence and Mingi nodded happily as he noticed Jongho giving a thumbs up and smiling widely.

  Jongho is probably the only one who actually knows what's going on and he's planning advice and tips for Mingi in case something happens again.

  Both Hongjoong and Mingi still have strong feelings for each other which they actually didn't really talk about but Mingi decided to confess to Hongjoong first one day.

  After practice, Mingi thought that he would ask Hongjoong to walk around the park and gaze at stars on the rooftop tonight. Mingi had been daydreaming about it for a while as the entire group walked back and Yunho was the one that noticed.

  "Hey, dude what are you thinking about?" Yunho called Mingi's name a few more times before clapping loudly, making Mingi snapped out of  his own world. "I can see you're really happy, tell me please!! Yunho exclaimed as he nudged Mingi's shoulder with his.

  "Nope, it's better if I keep it to myself and enjoy it" Mingi smiled as Yunho pouted. Mingi is very excited to ask Hongjoong out as the last time they hung out honestly made Mingi down in the dumps.

 
  As the group arrived home, Mingi went running into his shared room with Seonghwa and San. The younger quickly changed into some clothes and suddenly wondered if he was overdressed but also unsure whether he was underdressed but he soon gave up and called Hongjoong, jumping around excitedly waiting for him to pick up.

  Hello Mingi? What's wrong?

  Hey uhm.. Hyung, are you free after dinner?
_____

  Yeah! What's up?
_____
  Do you want to watch the stars with me tonight..?
_____

  I'd love to, Mingi. See you then

  Alright! See you!

-  As Mingi hung up, he couldn't help but jump around making small try his best to calm down but each time as he did, he would smile so wide till his cheeks hurt. While Mingi was in his own world, Sanhwa, who had been observing, grew concerned. They exchanged awkward glances before San eventually made Mingi snap back to reality.

  "Dude, are you okay? You've been smiling and jumping around for the pass 5 minutes.." San asked, a hint of concern in his voice as Seonghwa slowly nodded

  "Erm... Nothing!! I have to go now bye!!" Mingi broke the silence grabbing his bag and dashing out the door. He texted Jongho that he will be eating dinner alone as he has plans and he needs Jongho to tell the other members. After sending quite a long paragraph, Jongho just sent a thumbs up emoji.

  Hongjoong on the other hand.. Wasn't calming down too. Since Jongho helped Hongjoong too, he was basically the third wheel. With Hongjoong's constant ranting to Jongho about going out tonight with someone, the younger knew it was Mingi. Plus, Hongjoong was bad at lying so it was easy peasy.

  "Jongho, do you want anything? I'm going out for dinner" The tone in Hongjoong's voice makes it extremely obvious that he was holding his breathe.

  "Get me beef." Jongho smiled evily as he flipped his phone open to see notifications bursting on his lock screen. "But come home before dawn please.." As much as how Jongho is happy for both Mingi and Hongjoong, he couldn't risk seeing both of them getting caught or distant.

  Hongjoong nodded, spraying his Channel cologne and gathering his things, putting in a bag before walking out of the room with his jacket. Beaming to himself as he did.

  It didn't take too long for Mingi to arrive at the park. The park was empty, a nearby pond glistening under the silver light of the moon above, cold air whispered through the skeletal branches of an oak tree as Mingi sat down on a bench, patiently waiting for Hongjoong but out of boredom, he began to wear his earphones and listen to songs. He scrolled through his phone on Spotify until he decided on a song which was Reflections by The Neighbourhood.

  Mingi had always been a Hip-Hop guy but it wouldn't hurt to listen to something indie rock.While Mingi waited, the sounds of leaves blowing, crickets chirping faded away slowly as Mingi focused on the music, eventually zoning out.

We were too close to the stars, I've never known somebody like you, somebody like..-

  Hongjoong who finally reached the park, scanned the entire place for Mingi. He walked around for a while, stopping sometimes to enjoy the cold breeze mother nature offered. He probably went around the playground near the park and not the sitting area because he was literally out of breath.

  After a short while, Hongjoong finally noticed Mingi sitting on a bench behind a tree. He ran behind him before planning on startling him.
"RAH!!" Hongjoong screamed softly, making Mingi take out his earphones, turning back to look at the boy behind him with wide eyes.

  "Did I scare you?" Hongjoong asked, sitting down beside Mingi while the younger nodded before smiling sheepishly. Mingi was actually fighting the urge to ask Hongjoong to eat dinner together. After all, he just asked to watch the stars.

  "Oh, hyung, have you eaten?" Mingi stammered, trying to ask the question casually. "Not yet, wanna eat together? Jongho wants me to buy him beef too." Hongjoong added as he looked down to fidget his hands when suddenly Mingi stood up.

  Hongjoong looked up at Mingi, confused as he tilted his head a little. "Let's have dinner together, hyung." Hearing that made a smile spread across Hongjoong's face, nodding as he got up too "Let's go"
