                  Hongjoong's POV:

I sat alone in the studio, my fingers fidgeting with a pen as I stared blankly at my laptop's search bar. The memory of me kissing Mingi haunted me, a mixture of regret and desire I couldn't shake off. It has been 2 days. 2 days of me avoiding Mingi.

How can I ever forget something? My laptop's search history is full of "Can guys be lovers? Especially when you're an idol." I stared at my screen for minutes and I barely continued. There wasn't even anything to do but if I head back to the dorm.. I would see Mingi. I sighed and reached to find my earbuds, my heart stopped as I felt nothing. My earbuds. It was gone.

I panicked for a while before sighing in relief, it was at the practice room. Of course. I quickly took my jacket and dashed out of the studio. On my way, I  unexpectedly encountered baby chicks. What were they doing here? Despite my confusion, I crouched down and gently held one in my hands and it somewhat reminded me of...-Mingi.

I quickly placed the duck back and continued to make my way to the company. The wind was kinda strong. It played with my hair, making my bangs gently float. Soon enough, i arrived.

I walked up the stairs, panting heavily and crouching slightly. "When will they fix the elevator?" I said to myself as i walked into the practice room. The lights in the hall were golden and warm.. I have always loved it. I went to grab my earbuds the door creaking when suddenly, my heart skipped a beat as I notice a black figure at the corner of the room.

I prepared myself to witness the strange figure. The shadow slowly fading and revealing a silver haired guy. "Mingi?" My eyes widened as I felt a pang of guilt. Mingi? Why is he here..

_____
Hongjoong took a step closer, his heart aching with a mixture of guilt and compassionate. He knelt in front of Mingi, watching as he slept peacefully and unbothered. He hesitated but is unable to control the voices in his head. He needed to say what's on his mind.

"I'm sorry, Mingi." Hongjoong whispered but the room was very quiet which made his whispers loud. "I'm sorry for everything. For the kiss, the avoiding, for not dealing with this." Hongjoong voice was then stuttering and soon enough, his eyes was full with unshed tears. He froze as Mingi's eyes fluttered open. Hongjoong, unable to process as a tear trailed down his cheek.

"Joong?" Mingi said as his eyes widened. "Are you.. Okay?" Mingi brushed a stray strand of hair away, getting a better look of the boy in front of him.

"I came to.. Talk." Hongjoong's voice was trembling but the look in his eyes was serious enough to make Mingi understand what he needed. Hongjoong quickly wiped the tears away and took a step back.

"Mingi.. I.. " Hongjoong was immediately cut off by Mingi. Mingi held Hongjoong's hand and looked at him. He felt a lump forming in his throat as he begun to speak.

"Hongjoong. I need you to be honest with me.." Mingi said, trying to look at Hongjoong who was already looking back at him. The sight in front of Mingi made his heart ache. Tears was falling down from Hongjoong's cheek, the lamp light kissed his unshed tears, causing them to shimmer ethereally.

"I'm.. So sorry. " Hongjoong finally spoke, making Mingi snap out the train in his thoughts. He caressed Hongjoong's hand and pulled him closer.

"Me too. I didn't think straight. I never knew it would hurt you so much. It hurt me too." Mingi admitted as he cupped Hongjoong's cheek.

"I love you more than just a leader, hyung and it hurts to see you like this. I have never thought of this happening. " Mingi kept on explaining and apologizing when suddenly, Hongjoong brought Mingi into an embrace. The warmth of both their bodies combining as they slowly pulled away.

"I love you too but.. If it's like this, our relationship is very risky." Hongjoong broke the silence. "And what about the members?"

Before Hongjoong could even continue Mingi calmed him down and comforted him. "We'll figure this out. After all, it's our feelings right? I'm sure about my feelings.

Hongjoong felt a wave of relief wash over him as both of them smiled at each other. " Wanna.. Go back..?" Hongjoong asked as he broke the eye contact.

"Not quite.." Mingi said as he slowly pulled out his hand in front of the leader. "Do you.. Want to?"

Hongjoong chuckled and held Mingi's hand. Their fingers interlocking as they walk back to the dorm in the late night where nothing could bother them. Both Hongjoong and Mingi's relationship has just begun and if they ever face challenges, they both would face it together.
