I woke up in Erik's arms and I was very happy to be there. I cuddled into him and felt more rested than I had in weeks. He woke me up with the smell of maple bacon and waffles. I yawned as he walked back into the room. "So who are you sharing with right now?" I asked him, knowing how packed everything was.

"I'm the only one not sharing, really. I offered." I nodded as I started eating my food, "Are you all ready for the ritual? Samhain is in ten days."

"We're ready. I think. Not for hte reality of the situation but the ritual is ready. We need all of you there. The Hybrids, everyone."

"We'll be there. Are you going to transport us?"

"Probably the bestion option, huh?"

"Not if it's going to tire you out before this big fight. It might be worth it to take the risk and travel in a caravan."

"Maybe with the Hybrids it will help them not attack."

"I'll talk about it with Jackson. With the rings you've been giving everyone, we're pretty strong."

"I don't want you hurt," I said, caressing his face. He kissed my palm.

"I'll be fine. You'll need your strength."

Coming back to my home, Morgan was there. "What is wrong?" I asked her firmly. She looked in my eyes and I felt such panic

"I- I don't want us to lose this fight. It feels bigger and more important than anything I've ever done. In both lives."

"You're scared. That's okay. I'm terrified," I said and went up to her, wrapping my arms around her. We didn't do much physical affection but Morgan was my mentor. I loved her. We stayed that way until we both calmed.

We got ready for the ritual. The Mikaelsons arrived at my home. It was almost time. My heart still hurt. But we'd decided we would kill all the vampires but Lucien and Marcel. Klaus requested he be able to talk to them. We agreed, but with back up.

The day of the ritual, all the ancestral witches gathered in the backyard of my home. The ground had been painted with runes. Klaus stood in the middle. "I'm trusting you, friend," he said to me and I nodded.

"I know. But it will all be over soon. Have a nice sleep. Friend," I said as we started the ritual.

Klaus fell to the ground and we all looked to each other. I looked over my shoulder at Morgan with the rest of the Mikaelsons. "Go! We'll hold him here. Remember, cull, not exterminate. We don't want to kill everyone. Just who ever feels the oldest. Marcel's vampires were forced into this by following him."

"But-"

"You heard what I said, Morgan. Please, just, they don't deserve this," I told her and she nodded. Then they flashed and they were gone.

It felt anticlimactic when they returned. We'd just been here, chanting. but they came back covered in blood and dirt. "It has been done. Let's wake up our Aurora and see our final two," Morgan said as she wiped the blood from her forehead. I could feel her pain so she must have been injured too. I nodded and looked to the other witches. We finished the ritual and when we were done Klaus sat up with a gasp of air.

"Is it done?" he asked me and I nodded.

I looked at the witches, "Thank you all. For your patience over the last few weeks and for completing this ritual. I will never be able to pay you back for all that you have done. But I thank you." they nodded and began to disperse. I looked back at the Mikaelsons and Morgan. I gave a shaky nod and breath. "Let's do this." We were about to leave when I saw Erik out of the corner of my eye. He ran over.

"Did I miss it?" he asked.

"Miss what?"

"I'm coming with you."

"But-"

"Fenrir told me I'm coming with you," he said and I nodded. I reached out my hand and he tok it. Then we flashed away.

We arrived in the middle of the Abattoir. "Where are my men?!" Lucien shouted as soon as he saw us.

"Dead. Just how you will be if you don't leave the city and promise to never return," I said to him. Marcel walked in from the entrance.

"And does that apply to me too?" he asked me.

"Yes."

"And what if I say fuck no, I'm not leaving the city I built!" he shouted as he appeared in front of me.

"I didn't make your choices for you, Marcellus. And I will be damned if you try to make me the fucking villain!" I shouted at him and pushed him away using wind. He looked back and I knew he was going to attack. So did Erik since he jumped in front of me. Marcel smirked when he saw his chance to fight Erik. Lucien came from the back and tried to attack Morgan but she threw him against the wall.

"This is not the way this is done, child," she said to him. Then jumped up to the level that he was on. The Mikaelsons seemed to be looking for their way in. They made themselves useful while I watched Erik fight Marcel. Then Marcel threw Erik. I was about to join in that fight when I head the loud sound of a neck breaking. I looked up to see Lucien had broken Morgan's neck. sHe'd heal but not for a time. Klaus jumped in, fighting him. And Erik was close so he joined in. Marcel began walking towards the trio but I stepped in front of him.

"You really want to do this?" he asked me. I wiped the tear I felt come down my face.

"I really do." That's when I felt it. This surge of power inside me. Marcel's eyes widened. He came at me and I threw him with wind. Then thunder cracked and lightning shook him. He fell to the ground, half of his body burned. I heard a grunt and looked to see Lucien with his hand in Erik's chest. But his eyes glowed as well. He would be fine. I turned back to Marcel and got down on the floor, plunging my hand into his chest. They all made it look so easy but it was hard. I could feel my hand being cut by the bones in his rib cage.

"Why did you make me do this?" I asked as the tears fell.

"I would have never been enough," he groaned out.

"You were enough for me. You weren't enough for you," I said as I pulled his heart out. I threw it to the side in disgust as I watched his burned body turned gray. In another life, he would have been my forever. And I hoped eventually he would fine peace.

I didn't see the rest of the fight but Erik came to kneel in front of me. His eyes were a wolf gold still. But brighter than most. "My love, finally we are together," he said, in a voice that didn't feel as all his own. I was thinking of what to say when I heard words come out of my own mouth.

"It only took several thousand years," my voice said and he pulled me close. We kissed but when we parted, I felt more like myself.

"Are you okay?" Erik asked me.

"That will take a little to get used to," I said to him.

"Do you hear her in your head?"

"i do. She's quiet right now. With her voice. Not her thoughts. Those are quite loud," I said, hoping she'd hear me and calm down, "What about you?"

"His thoughts are also loud. And they're all about you. Or her. I can't discern our thoughts well to be honest. But I actually meant are you okay about that?" He gestured to Marcel's graying body. I couldn't help but start crying again and shake my head. I looked up at him, ashamed.

"You know I love you," I tried to explain but I couldn't. Erik took my hand.

"Of course you do."

"I have never loved a man the way that I love you."

"I know that too. This can hurt. It makes sense that this hurts. I'm not bothered by that. IT's okay." I nodded as he pulled me in and held me.

"It's a whole new world."

"It really is. She has these plans in my head. This isn't the end. It's the beginning."
