   "Mai!"

Aiko called out from the front door, she picked up her black shoulder bag and a small pink one in her other hand. Her daughter had needed to use the bathroom, and wanted to go by herself to prove she was a big girl.

   "Coming, mama!"

Aiko glanced up from the floor to catch Mai running toward her in her cute little denim overalls with a light pink shirt underneath, her pigtails bouncing around her head as she ran.

Mai crashed into her mother's legs, hugging them to steady herself.

"Woah, slow down Ultra girl!" Aiko chuckled, bending down to hug her daughter who giggled loudly.

"Mama, I'm not Ultra girl, now!" Mai said, glancing around her to check for 'suspicious people' who might be on the look out for her.

"Oh, right, right. Okay, Mai Nakamura, let's leave before we're late to the game," Aiko said, bringing Mai into her arms to carry her.

The mother and daughter walk out of their house and into their awaiting car. Leaving as they make their way to the baseball stadium.

The duo had finally arrived, having been sat close to the field where many people were staring at them with their mouths agape.

Mai glanced around confused, wondering why so many strangers were looking at her and her mom. The little girl looked up at her mother, seeing a small smile adorning her face to reassure her.

   "Mama, why are they staring?"

Aiko sighed quietly, feeling a bit nervous as people continued to look.

"Cause mama is a really smart scientist," Aiko replied, bringing Mai closer to her.

The little girl spaced out for a moment before nodding her head, her little pigtails wiggling about. Aiko chuckled at the sight before kissing her daughter's head affectionately.

"Welcome, baseball fans, to opening day and a match up between your giants and the visiting Swallows," An announcer's voice rang out in the stadium.

Mai clapped excitedly, glancing around to look for the voice.

"You can feel the electricity in the air. forty thousand fans here tonight, a capacity waiting to get their first look at Ken Sato, anxious to see what he can bring to this Giants team,"
