"She is my world,"
꧁༺ ༻꧂"Dr. Nakamura,"
Aiko ignored the greeting, continuing on with her work as she looked through the microscope to see the reaction bewteen human red blood cells and a small sample of the kaiju Neronga.
"Dr. Onda, how can I help you this evening?" Aiko questioned, annoyed with the man already.
"Please follow me, we have a meeting and I would like my head researcher there to witness something great," Dr. Onda said patiently, waiting for Aiko to turn around and look at him.
The CEO of the KDF, Dr. Onda, had hired Aiko as the head research scientist. With her passion and expertise with the knowledge of the Kaiju, Aiko was the right fit.
What the man didn't know was, Aiko had been making sure the KDF had not been able to locate Kaiju Island. Even if it meant slowing down the process of finding where her father and mother in last could be.
Aiko and Mr. Sato believe that the lives of the great monstrous creatures deserve a second chance. It's not there fault they were created that way. They were misunderstood creatures, yet complex in their own way.
Aiko paused for a moment, lost in thought. Her brows furrowed as she tried to recall any recent meetings she has been in that would require her presence now.
"It would be good for you join us, Dr. Nakamura. I believe what I am about to show you will change history. Maybe even win yourself...another nobel prize," Dr. Onda said, stsring intently at the woman.
Aiko raised a brow in question, before sighing softly and nodding her head.
The two walk out of Aiko's lab, walking through the halls in silence.
Finally, the two make it through metal doors where a bunch of KDF soldiers and some of Aiko's team members had been waiting for them.
The room was silent, as the crowd watched the two walk closer and closer to a massive metal encased object.
Dr. Onda stopped in front of the metal ball, with Aiko right next to him. The man cleared his throat, glancing at all the faces in the room.
"Each of you has experienced the loss of colleagues, friends, and even family to the devastation caused by by the horrible kaiju scourge. I felt that pain, that loss, and I wake up every morning, asking myself how I can stop it from happening again,"
