🎵 Caleb

I'm starting to think this was the worst idea ever.

I love Sarah. I'll always love Sarah. But, the closer we get to her the heavier the ring feels.

If my mind wasn't confused enough, I've got The Flash over here running to the bathroom every time things get a little too close to comfort. I don't even know what to think. I'm not too sure I should be thinking at all.

I run my hands through my hair as I slip my rings over my fingers. I always liked the way the chunky bands looked around my fingers. My hand tattoos works perfectly with them. I looked at myself in the mirror and breathed out.

I'm wearing a black sleeveless shirt where my sleeve holes are open along the sides. I combed the sides of my hair so my black strands sat perfectly along the sides of my head while some long strands hung lazily down on my forehead.
Sarah would love it. I leaned on the sink and took another deep breath.

I don't know if I can do this.

There was a knock at the bathroom door suddenly disrupting my thoughts.

"Hey, you almost done in there man? We don't want to miss her this time." Nathanial called through the door.

I looked back up at myself and stared into my own blue eyes. At least one of us is excited.

"Yeah." I muttered. I swung open the door and came face to face with Nathanial.

He looked great in what he was wearing tonight and apparently he thought the same about me as his eyes dropped from my eyes quickly down to my shoes and back up again. My lips quirked at that.

I loved how unsubtle his eyes were. They always failed him.

"Are we going or-" I teased.

He rolled his eyes and stalked away from the door. I couldn't help but laugh as I followed him.

"You're going to be so hot in the club." I teased again. He decided to wear a long sleeve. Hasn't he ever been to a club before? Oh wait - probably not. Little virgin.

He rolled his eyes at me. "You should've told me to switch back at the hotel! I blame you!"

"I thought you didn't want me looking out for you all the time." I mocked.

"I meant don't make out with my girlfriend. Not this." He laughed. My eyebrows raised, surprised by his quick smart mouth. I want to wipe that smile off his face. I bit my lip and looked out the window.

We were almost at the bar, driving in the backseat of our Uber.

I looked back at Nathanial who was running his hands up and down his thighs as he stared out his side window.

"Nathanial, are you nervous?" I teased.

"I've never been to a club before. Nonetheless a gay one. I feel like I'm skipping all the steps and going straight to the top." He breathed.

"Nah, the top would be going to a sex club, if you ask me." I shrugged. His eyes widened at that and I couldn't sworn I heard our driver snort.

"You've - you've been to a sex club?"

"No, but the look on your face is priceless. You're such a dork." I said pushing my hand in his face. He slapped it away as we both laughed it off.

Shortly after, the car came to a stop. The bar was busy, with so many people filing in and out. Thankfully I didn't spot a line so we made a run for it.

"Have a great night!" We both called back to our driver as we ran out of the car.

Caleb pinched my side causing me to almost topple over. I hooked my arm around his neck, driving him into my chest, pinching his stomach, as he struggled to pull himself away.

We were both laughing, stumbling into the club as the bright lights stopped us in our tracks.

"ID" the bouncer prompted. We both fished in our pockets and pulled out our wallets and gave them over to the big bald man wearing an ear piece before taking them back.

"This place is-" I began.

"I know." Caleb breathed, answering for me. We slowly walked into the open area as people of all shapes, colours, and personalities wandered around dancing and talking.

The lights from overhead blasted colours of the rainbow all around us and bright beams of neon lights flashed overhead. Disco balls on the ceiling flickered as they twirled round and round.

I watched as girls, guys, and they's passed us wearing everything from combat boots to pink cowgirl hats. Sparkles and feather boas to leather jackets and moustaches.

It was hard to look away since there was so much to look at. Where did you even begin?

Thats when I remembered what we were doing here.

"How in the hell are we supposed to find Sarah in this?" I asked turning to Caleb. He looked just as taken back as I was. His mouth hanging open as he took in all the sights. I smiled. It was hard to find his shocked face not adorable.

"Come on, you." I laughed, slinging my arm around his shoulder and pulling him with me. I could've sworn I spotted a bar over to the right.

It took us a hot second to catch the bartenders attention but once we did we managed to order a couple vodka sprites. It's kind of our drink of choice for the trip. We're not driving so might as well!

"You never been to a place like this before?" I asked over the music. I leaned into his side. I couldn't help but catch a whiff of his delicious scent. It was overpowering and made my mouth water. I took a sip of my drink to try and stuff that feeling down.

"Really, Nathanial?" He asked with his eyebrow quirked up.

"What?" I shrugged.

"Asking me if I come here often?" He rolled his eyes taking a big sip of his drink, finishing it off.

"Talking to you is infuriating." I shook my head and laughed.

"Really because I think you enjoy it and THAT'S what's so infuriating." He smiled, leaving now empty glass on the bar top.

"Let me buy the next round." I nodded my head to his glass.

"How about, no." He slicked his hair back and I immediately felt my dick twitch in my pants.

"Why don't you let me pay for you?" I narrowed my eyes at him.

He bit his lip and shook his head. "Because I like taking care of you, idiot."

"When are you going to get it into your thick skull that I don't need you to take care of me?" I laughed.

"When are you going to get it into your thick skull that it's not about what you need. It's about what I want." He shoved me back. "Now, finish your drink and let's go looking."

His words took me by surprise. So, he just enjoyed taking care of me? Thats...weird. I guess?

If I think about it, he always does sort of go out of his way to make sure I'm okay. Even when I don't need it. It's like my brain turns off when he's around. It's as though I know everything's handled because he's there for me.

But wait, what about him? Who's taking care of him?

I want to. I want it to be me.

I tipped my head back and finished off my drink before following him into the crowd.

I guess however this night is going to go, I know he'll have my back either way. I know I'll have his.
