After seeing both of his father's tears, Blue refused to be put down. The kid became worried as he witnessed how both of his parents were crying in front of him and it changed his mood.
Build paid for the groceries and unfortunately, he bought more than expected. Now, he has three grocery bags and a toddler to carry. He bit his lower lip. He didn't bring his car thinking that the supermarket is just a few blocks away from their suite. Build is anxious. How will he carry all of this when his son doesn't want to be placed down and walk?
"I'll carry this. Where did you park your car?" Wichapas asked, starting to pick up the grocery bags.
"I didn't bring a car. It's fine. We will just walk back." Build answered, trying to figure out how to carry everything.
Wichapas looked at the bags and then back to Build, seems like having the same dilemma.
"Is it.. Is it okay if I walk you home? You can't bring all this while he's being clingy like that."
Unfortunately, Wichapas is right. Build sighed as he felt defeated. He nods to Wichapas. A small help won't hurt. Maybe?
They are currently walking back to their suite as Build tries to coax his son and change his mood, Wichapas walking beside them with the grocery bags.
"Is he okay?" Wichapas asked worriedly.
"He'll be fine." Build answered, looking straight ahead.
"Pa..." Blue mumbled.
"Yes, baby?" Build asked his son.
Wichapas listened to them attentively, trying to know their conversation.
"My ice cream." Blue said, removing his hug from his father's neck.
Ah, Blue didn't forget about the ice cream. "We'll get it next time, okay?"
They have so many grocery bags and he can't stop by the ice cream shop. But Blue started to whine. He shook his feet and hugged his father again crying. His mood is really destroyed. "I promised to eat dinner." he said between the sobs.
Build looked at Wichapas, who's looking at him like he is lost. "You can drop us at the ice cream shop."
Wichapas was hesitant but he nodded instead. They entered the ice cream shop and Blue's mood started to change. Wichapas put down the grocery bags below the table and was ready to leave but Blue immediately opened his arms to him. With confused eyes, Wichapas carried him.
"Daddy, I want strawberry ice cream." Blue said to his father, pointing to the counter.
Wichapas looked at Build, asking for permission. Build can't do anything other than nod at him. He sat on the table with a troubled mind. This is not in his plans.
"What flavor do you want?" Wichapas asked. Blue whined and wanted to be put down so Wichapas let him go.
"Anything." Build answered.
Wichapas looked around the shop and saw Blue looking at the big signage with different pictures of ice creams.
"Hey, buddy. Let's get some ice cream. Come on." Blue ran to him and went to the counter holding his hand.
Build frowned at the sight of Blue and Wichapas at the counter, ordering some ice cream. He can't believe how fast Blue was adjusted easily in meeting his other father. Usually, it would take a very long time for him to open up to a stranger. Most of the time, he never opens up to them. He's planning to let them spend time together but not like this. Why do they look like...a family?
Build swept the thought when he saw them walking to him. Wichapas sat down in front of him, Blue settled on his lap.
"Is it okay for me to stay and join you?" Wichapas asked Build but before he could answer Blue spoke.
