"Never have I ever slept with more than one guy in the same night."
True to Rosie's word, Bethany doesn't bug me much after our first encounter. Neither of the girls did. Infact, they were all sort of really fun. We've aligned our four cars in a way where we're all sitting in the trunks in a circle. There are drinks in one car, smoking substances in the next and food in the other.
I'm offered all three on multiple occasions, every single time in which I decline, even now as we play our drinking game, I substitute water with alcohol.
"Never have I ever snuck out to go to a boy's house."
As the girls speak I do a quick skim with my eyes across the perimeter, searching for Xavier like I constantly had been doing over the past few minutes.
He'd already done a few races. He'd won the first one and then the second and by the third time I realized it was probably a regular occurence for him to win these things.
In any case, It's been a while since I've last spoken him and I remember gutwrenchingly that he was probably still upset with me over that discussion about Ethika in the car.
"Isa." Rosie hisses and I glance up at her before realizing that all the girls are staring at me. "You haven't drank your water for the past four rounds. Are you even listening?"
"I am listening there's just nothing for me to drink for." I swirl the cup around in my hand.
Bethany and her friend Cairo-who I was slowly starting to realize just did everything Bethany did- start to snicker amongst themselves.
"The statement was never have I ever snuck out before, you've never snuck out of the house? That's a little bit sad."
I fear I might finally loose it and snap at Bethany but I really am trying to be calm. I bite my tongue and look away, look anywhere else but the stupid, smug, smile on her stupid face.
"Can we just move on?" A girl named Ashley says. "Bethany say your statement."
"Fine." Bethany frowns but then she stares at me and smirks again. Never have I ever, had sex in public."
I watch anxiously as all the girls take a sip of their drink. Bethany's smirking at me and I've had enough. I feign nonchalance and take a sip of my water. When I look back at Bethany she's glaring at me.
"You're lying. You've never had public sex before."
"And how would you know, were you there?"
Bethany crosses her arms and raises her eyebrows. "Fine then, where'd you do it?"
The question catches me so off guard that I have to take the time to think about it. I open my mouth but falter, after a few moments I manage to muster out "A parking lot..." And it must have truly been so pathetic because all the girls, unable to contain themselves, start to laugh.
I glance to Rosie who's chuckling beside me. "You don't have to lie, Isa. Trust me no one's judging here."
I nod sheepishly, but Bethany's still opening her fat mouth. "I knew you were lying- oh my God you're totally the boring, vanilla type. I bet you've only ever had sex in a bedroom." She laughs, clutching her stomach. "No! I bet-I bet you've only ever done it missionary style."
