Eve
"Okay, now what?" I asked tying my hair into a high ponytail. I thought there'd be tension between Luca and I, but there wasn't. We simply fell back into step with reality. He was a devine spirit, an angel, he couldn't actually date and express his affections at all towards me in anyway. Angels were deemed as clean, pure spirits, forbidden of mating with humans in anyway. Problem was I wasn't entirely human.....so I basically had to friend zone him.
"I want you to move these three candles." He set three candles atop a table, leaving a few inches of space in between. I took note of how his delicate, yet strong, piano player hands pushed his curly hair out of his eyes. How the simple white t-shirt and sweat pants hugged his body in all the right places. I quickly pushed away the thought and focused on the task at hand; It was easy of course, so a simple flick of the wrist whipped all three of them of the table in a whirlwind.
"Easy." I dusted my hands off to emphasize that my work was done.
I watched his lips move as he mumbled a few words and the candles reappered on the table, as if nothing happened. "Now, I want you to light them, but at the same time."
I sighed of how I wasn't being given much a challenge. At least Talon offered a challenge and pushed you..... The thought had my breath caught in my throat. Talon. His name still wounded me, at least the thought didn't bring me to tears...anymore. How could he have done that to me? I wasn't a hypocrite because technically I cheated on him, by kissing another guy, but I felt remorse the next day. Not the thrill of being caught like most, or the pleasure of another. Just remorse, that I'd betrayed the one guy I loved. I gave the candles one look, before they exploded, wax flying everywhere.
"I didn't mean to do that." I gasped, but Luca looked at me, silent in thought. "Why did I do that?"
He stood walking towards me, then stopping a few feet in front of me. Even in the space between us, you could feel electricity flowing and sparking the air."It happened, because you're not concentrating." He stated. "Try again."
I glared at him, briefly before focusing on the candles. Talon. His name popped up again, and simultaneously the candles exploded. "I was concentrating, I swear."
"You weren't doing it hard enough." He countered.
"I was." I bit out.
We stood glaring at each other, before he closed the space between us, and it was as if my body absorbed the sparks between us. My body became a circuit right then and there, as electricity pumped through my veins, vibrating through my bones. As sudden as it happened, it ended and I instantly calmed and relaxed. The tension and anger disappeared. "Now try." He whispered, his mouth inches from my ear. I took a deep breath, zoning in on the three; Raising my hand slowly, and with a snap, they lit.
"See," He pulled away and so did the feeling. "You just needed to relax and concentrate."
"I see."
"Now do it again."
"But-"
"No buts." He said with faux seriousness. "Maybe then we can focus on weapons."

"Phinneas and Otis!" I called the names of two soldiers, watching them March into the arena from my throne. The stands were filled with thousands of creatures cheering, in hopes of watching the next battle end in slaughter. I was happy with this event, for I had combined ways of training my soldiers and quenching my thirst for blood in one. Phinneas and Otis were brothers and alike in everyway. From their style of fighting, to their genetic makeup, mere looks, and personality. They faced each other, swords in hand with looks of torment. They were both strong, and at least 8 feet tall. "Fight!" I ordered and no sooner as I ordered it, both swords were clashed. The crowd cheered from the stands in excitement as they charged, in the blink of an eye they were upon each other. Phinneas thrust his sword out, while Otis countered it, kicking him hard in the thigh, the sound of breaking bones filled the arena.
