A candle should dance in the dark
Show off it's illuminating spark,
Try as hard as it might to fight,
Just so it won't lose it's light.
A candle wick is meant to burn
So let it take it's turn,
As it embraces the fiery flame
Knowing it will never be the same.
For a candle that remains unlit
Is as worthless as a shoe unfit
I sometimes feel like that candle,
For such purpose I cannot handle.
A hollow part of me remains unfilled
A purpose that is still unfulfilled
I've never took the risk for anything
Now I feel like I'm missing something.
So now I have to be bold,
To prevent remaining in the cold
Let the scorching heat melt my body
As my fire sway in the air gracefully.
Let the fire within my chest
Ignite the passion that's long been in rest
A candle like me should fulfill my purpose
Even if it means having everything to lose.
When the time has come to finally dim my light...
At least I burned as bright,
As a star in the middle of the night.
Let my warmth fill the room
As I dance into my doom.
Because a melted candle, long gone
Is better than a whole but useless one.
