Growing up

When I was a kid,
I dreamt of fairy castles,
Pumpkin carriage, fancy dresses
Everything owned by princesses

When I was a kid
I wondered what my future would be like
Would I have a huge mansion
or a fancy car to ride

I used to think of a future with a lavish lifestyle
When I've become successful and reached a hundred mile
I'd get so high up, that people would wonder how it feels to be on top

I was too focused on what others will think of me
Now it's time I wake up from that fantasy
Because life isn't always a bed of roses
There is pain and there is sadness

Knowing that life is gonna be tough
Being with the ones you love would be enough
No castles or mansions needed
No fancy objects can make you feel completed

If I could go back to my younger self I would say...
"Don't spend your days, thinking about the future
Or you'll miss out on what the present has to offer"

"Don't live on someone else's dream,
Success doesn't always mean money.
Don't spend life chasing something
When all you need... is to be happy."
