Alone

People try to fit in, no matter what it takes
For fame, they'd risk being with snakes

Maybe pretending is a piece of cake
When you get used to people who are fake

While others huddle with the crowd
He'd rather stand on his ground

He can't afford to be with those
Whom he despise the most.

While they plaster unreal smiles
He saves his own for special times

He shows both his good and bad side
Others may go with the flow but he'd rather fight the tide.

Being left behind is never easy
It takes guts to face the harsh reality

But its harder when you try to fit in
With a group that will never be genuine

Enjoying the comfort of solitude,
Pretend and play the game, he could

But he would much rather be alone
Knowing he's better off on his own.
