"Hi beautiful" Billie smiled as she made pancakes
"Hi" I giggle fixing my damp hair
"Sorry if I've bin kinda weird lately" she handed me a plate as we both sat down at the island
"It's ok, I get it your stressed" I shrug
"I'm not. I lied, im sorry" she looked down
"What do you mean?" I tilt my head confused
She sighed and shrugged
"You lied? For what?" I straighten my posture
"I- Lani um can we talk about this a little later" she looked to the side
"Okay" I say softly as I wasn't sure what she was talking about.
Is she second thinking things? No she can't be I mean like we did just fuck so..but maybe she is.
"Thank you for the flowers they're really pretty" I smile trying to change the subject
"Yeah of corse." She smiled
"Riley's coming later after work if that's ok"
"Why wouldn't it be?" She chuckled
"Donno, just letting you know" I shrug
"What time? Like right after work or.."
"Like at 7ish" I took my last bite
"Oh."
"Why? Do you want me to tell her to come later?"
"No it's ok, just wanted to talk" she looked up at me as I grabbed her plate putting it into the sink "but it's ok we have tomorrow" she shook her head
"Are you sure?"
"Yeah. Yeah it's ok"
"Ok" I nod and sat on the couch

"What?" Billie sat next to me
"Riley just canceled" I shrug
"Oh um ok." She turned on the Tv
I know if she knew that I canceled she wouldn't let me. She would tell me to call Riley and tell her to come over so I lied.
She laid her head on my lap as we watched euphoria. She seemed quiet and sad? I don't know but she was off
"Billie?" I paused the tv
"Yeah?" She turned on her back to look up at me
"Are you ok?" I ask making her sit up
"Yeah. Yeah I'm ok why?" She played with her rings
"You seem off"
"Um. I'm ok. I don't know" she looked down
"What's going on?" I lift her head up my heart dropped when I saw tears forming in her eyes
She sighed and shrugged.
