I woke up. I was able to move. I looked at myself. I screamed. I had long bony hands and my hair was green. I saw I had gotten skinnier and taller. I closed my eyes and leaned against the cage wall. "This can't be happening," I whispered.

"Oh yes it can," Serpent said. I opened my eyes. "Don't worry, I'll help you get through it. We are going to be girlfriend and boyfriend, so this is the least I can do," he said.

"Forget it. Right this instant!" I shouted.

"Honey-" he began. I cut him off,

"Don't 'Honey' me!" I screamed. He smirked. "Turn me back!" I screamed.

"No way. Your green hair and eyes look wonderful and I'll get you a pretty dress to match," he replied. He laughed evilly. Suddenly, the door opened and Daniel ran in. Serpent turned just in time to see Daniel tackle him. They both fell to the ground. Daniel got up quickly and grabbed my hand. He starting pulling me toward the door, so I ran with him. The running separated my wrists, which was a relief. "Get back here!" hissed Serpent. I watched him run behind us. As soon as we got outside, I saw we were near the sea and some woods. Daniel led me into the woods, and we lost Serpent.

Daniel led me down a trail. The trees made the forest seem dark, but there was little patches of light. Soon, a shed was visible. "Come on, we're almost there," said Daniel. I nodded. Finally, we were at the shed. It was dark inside, but Daniel lit a lantern.

"What is this place?" I asked.

"It's a shed my dad and I built for emergencies," Daniel told me. He smiled. "Watch this," he said. He blew out the lantern's flame. I barely was able to see him pick up a rock. He threw it against the wall. It broke into two pieces. Where it broke, a white light was showing. I looked up on the roof and saw a bunch of white lights. It looked like a sky full of stars. "My dad and I learned about the rocks, and when you break one, all the broken ones light up, so we built the shed with a flat roof so the rocks would look like stars," Daniel told me.

"Wow," I said, looking up. I looked at Daniel, who was smiling. The lights were starting to disappear.

"It only lasts so long," he said. I nodded. I looked down. I then remembered how bad I looked.

"Daniel, can you change me back?" I asked.

"Rose, I can't turn you back into a full human. You will always be a sea serpent. I can change your look though. I can only give you light blonde hair and blue eyes with no weird hands though," Daniel responded.

"Please change me," I said. Daniel said something in a language I couldn't understand and I watched my hands go back qto normal, my hair went light blonde, I assumed my eyes were blue, and I returned to my normal height.

"I forgot it returned you to your normal height," Daniel said.

"That's fine. Thank you!" I exclaimed. I hugged him as I heard footsteps.
