I went as fast as I could. Nothing was going to stop me! I finally reached the shore. I managed to turn into a human. I carried Daniel up to the dry sand. I gently put him down. He was barely breathing. I sat on my knees. "Please be okay," I whispered.

"He probably won't be," said Serpent. I heard him walking out of the water. I turned and saw him. He was back in his clothes. I looked down and saw I was too. I even had the bracelets. "Daniel was poisoned, by you," he said.

"How?" I asked.

"If a human touches a sea serpent's scales, they are likely to be poisoned," Serpent said.

"You're a liar," I said.

"You know I'm not a liar. Look at him," Serpent said. I looked at him. He looked bad. I put my face on my hands and cried. Serpent put a hand on my shoulder. I took my face off my hands and slapped his hand away. "I'm only trying to help you, honey," he said. I got frustrated!

"Don't 'honey' me!" I shouted. He put his hands on his hips.

"I'm offering you everything you could possibly imagine!" cried Serpent.

"You almost killed me!" I hissed.

"As they say, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger," he responded.

"Yeah, it'll make me strong enough to defeat you," I responded. Serpent crossed his arms.

"One day, you'll want me," he said.

"Nope," I responded. He got even madder, if that's even possible. He kicked sand towards me, I turned around so it hit my back. "Never," I mumbled.

Serpent grabbed me and made me turn toward him. "Listen Chain, at least consider it. I might even do something special," he said.

"Like what?" I asked, annoyed.

"Heal him," Serpent said, pointing towards Daniel. My heart pounded. If I went with Serpent, Daniel would live. I didn't like Serpent though. I thought about what Daniel would say if I did it. Then, I remembered something from a long time ago. I knew Daniel and Serpent when they were little!

-Flashback-
I ran around in the woods. I was so excited. Why? Camp had just begun! Then, I saw twins, each with brown hair and grey eyes. I skipped over to them. "What's your name?" I asked one.

"I'm Dylan, and this is my twin, Daniel," said one of the boys. Daniel waved, obviously shy.

"Well, I'm Rose," I told them proudly.

"Like the flower?" asked Daniel quietly. I nodded. "That explains why you're pretty," he said. "I'm five, how old are you?" asked Daniel.

"Five!" I answered, still as proud as a peacock. Dylan smiled.

"That's makes three five year olds," he said. He talked like he was a grown-up, but I didn't care. Then, the camp counselor called us to him.

-End of Flashback-

I realized that's how they remembered my name! Wait, Daniel knew my name because Serpent said it, so Serpent must of been the only one that remembered. Then, I snapped back into reality. What to do, I did not know.
