A few days after my mother's visit, my phone buzzed with a call from an old college friend, Eunwoo. I answered, curious about what he wanted.

"Jisoo! It's been so long!" he exclaimed, his voice full of enthusiasm.

"Hey, Eunwoo. Yeah, it has," I replied, smiling at the sound of his familiar voice.

"I'm throwing a party for all our college friends this weekend. I'd love it if you could come," he said.

A party with old friends sounded like a nice break from the tension at home. But I knew I had to ask Jungkook first. "That sounds great, Eunwoo. Let me check with Jungkook, and I'll get back to you."

"Sure thing. Hope to see you there!" he said before hanging up.

I found Jungkook in the living room, reading a book. "Jungkook, one of my college friends invited me to a party this weekend. Do you mind if I go?"

He looked up, his expression neutral. "Of course, you can go. You deserve to have some fun."

"Thanks," I said, feeling a mix of relief and guilt.

Saturday evening arrived, and I got ready for the party. I dressed up in a simple but elegant outfit, hoping to blend in but still look nice. Jungkook watched me from the couch, his eyes following my movements.

"Have a good time," he said, giving me a small smile as I left.

I arrived at the address Eunwoo had given me, realizing it was a nightclub. The music was loud, and the place was packed with people dancing and laughing. I found Eunwoo near the bar, surrounded by a group of our old friends.

"Jisoo! You made it!" he shouted over the music, pulling me into a hug.

"Yeah, I did," I said, feeling a bit out of place but happy to see familiar faces.

We spent the evening catching up, sharing stories from our college days. The drinks kept flowing, and I found myself relaxing more than I had in a long time. I lost track of how many drinks I'd had, and soon everything became a blur.

At some point in the night, I ended up on the dance floor, swaying to the music. A guy I'd never met before joined me, and we started dancing together. His hands were on my waist, and before I knew it, we were making out.

It felt wrong, but in my drunken state, I couldn't stop. I didn't even know his name. All I could think about was how different it felt from my interactions with Jungkook. It was wild and free, with none of the heaviness that my marriage carried.

As the night turned into dawn, I started to sober up and realized what had happened. Panic set in as I saw the time on my phone. There were 50 missed calls from Jungkook. My heart pounded in my chest as I hurriedly dressed and left the club, my mind racing with fear and guilt.

When I got back to the apartment, I found Jungkook sitting on the couch, his face a mixture of worry and frustration. His eyes widened with relief when he saw me.

"Jisoo! Where have you been? I've been so worried," he said, standing up and rushing over to me.

"I'm sorry, Jungkook," I stammered, trying to keep my voice steady. "I lost track of time."

His expression softened as he saw the fear in my eyes. "I'm just glad you're okay. I was so worried that something had happened to you."

I nodded, my heart still racing. "I'm fine. I just... drank a little too much."

He sighed, pulling me into a hug. "Please, next time, let me know if you're going to be late. I was worried sick."

"I will," I promised, my voice barely above a whisper.

We stood there for a moment, his arms around me providing a small measure of comfort. But the guilt gnawed at me. I couldn't tell him what had really happened. I couldn't bear to see the disappointment in his eyes.

Jungkook led me to the couch, and we sat down. He handed me a glass of water and waited while I drank it. The silence between us was heavy, filled with unspoken words.

"Get some rest," he said gently. "We can talk more in the morning."

I nodded, grateful for his understanding. I went to our bedroom, my mind racing with thoughts of the night. How could I have been so careless? What if someone had seen me? The guilt was overwhelming, but I knew I had to keep it a secret. For now, all I could do was try to move forward and hope that Jungkook would never find out.
