The roar of the crowd blended with the bursts of fireworks illuminating the stadium, creating an atmosphere brimming with excitement and anticipation. All eyes were on the participants, eager to witness the spectacle unfolding before them.
"Welcome, everyone, to the U.A. Sports Festival! It's that time of year when our aspiring heroes clash to prove their mettle. Let's hear it for the future guardians of justice!" Present Mic's voice boomed across the stadium. "Here they are, the shining stars of Class 1-A, ready to dazzle us all!"
Class 1-A stepped into the spotlight at the center of the stadium, soaking in the cheers and applause from the electrified crowd.
Shinso spotted Izuku, Nero, and Kafka in the hero stands, a confident smirk playing on his lips.
"With all these eyes on us, I wonder if we'll perform at our best," Tenya mused aloud.
"It's a bit overwhelming, isn't it?" Izaki chuckled nervously.
"You're telling me," Katsumi agreed, her hands casually tucked in her pockets.
"Present Mic sure knows how to hype things up," Kirishima commented. "Feeling the nerves, Bakugo?"
"Only losers get nervous. I'm itching for the finals!" Katsuki retorted, his gaze fixed intensely on Shinso.
"Same here..." Shoto said doing the same.
"I feel like a hole is being burnt through my head..." Shinso commented sweating nervously.
"Its probably the crowd." Rikido remarked.
"While they may not have had much spotlight, this class is brimming with talent! Let's hear it for the Hero Course, Class 1-B!" Present Mic's voice boomed as Class 1-B made their entrance.
"Next up, General Studies, Classes C, D, and E! Support Course, Classes F, G, and H are in the house too. And last but not least, the Business Course, Classes I, J, and K!" Present Mic continued as the remaining classes filed into the stadium.
"We're just here to make those guys shine, aren't we?" a General Studies student quipped.
"Can't argue with that logic," another General Studies student chimed in.
The students organized themselves into lines, standing shoulder to shoulder. Midnight stepped forward, raising her whip into the air.
"Time for the player pledge!" Midnight declared.
"This year's head referee for the first years is Midnight?!" a hero from the stands exclaimed excitedly.
"Is that even allowed on school grounds?" Nero muttered, shielding his eyes.
"At least it's less risqué than her last outfit..." Touya remarked, gazing up at the sky.
"My question is can this air on TV?" Izuku chuckled. "That's a mature-rated hero for you." Izuku said looking at the students.
"Kudos to you all for not being perves," Kafka added dryly. "Unlike these other hero's..." She grimaced as several male heroes gushed at midnight.
"Everyone quiet down now!" Midnight commanded. "First and foremost, thank you all for joining us today! As you know, every year during this event, the top scorer on the entrance exam represents the first years and gives a speech to us all!" she explained.
"You're up, Izaki!" Shoka said, patting her back as Izaki looked nervous.
"This year, that honor goes to Izaki Yagi! She scored an astounding 120 points during the practical exam, breaking All Might's previous record of 100 with ease!" Midnight announced. "Izaki Yagi, please come up and say a few words!"
