Bellamy's Pov:

I awoke to a sharp pain in my stomach. I groaned when I tried to get up and laid right back down. I looked around the dropship to see Octavia, Jasper, and.. Clarke. What was she doing here still?

Octavia started to stir. She looked around for a second, then got up when she saw me. "Bel?" She asked. I tried to reply, but nothing came out, so I just nodded.

She sat next to me with horror in her eyes, probably due to the large burn mark in the middle of my stomach. "Oh, Bel.." she whispered.

My voice was hoarse when I managed to say, "I'm fine, O. Really. Clarke patched me up real good."

She bent down and hugged me, but pulled away when I winced. She kissed my forehead before saying, "I'm going to be right back. When the Grounder took me, I saw a river. I'm going to get you some water, okay?"

I nodded. I was exhausted anyway. So, I went right back to sleep.

Octavia's Pov:

I needed to find the Grounder who took me. He would know about any medicine to help Jasper. I heard Murphy talking about killing him when I left to get water. I couldn't let that happen. Besides, this Grounder was different. He saved me. He'll help me save Jasper, too.

I wandered about for a bit after I got back to the spot where he first took me.

"Hello," I whispered around, "are you still here?" Then some leaves were rustling, so I turned around. There he was. He was beautiful, in an exotic way.

"What are you doing out here?" He whispered angrily. "You're not safe out here."

"I had to find you. My friend needs medicine. I thought maybe you'd help me.." I whispered back, realizing how stupid he must have thought I sounded.

He sighed and grabbed my hand. Butterflies erupted in my stomach, and I could feel heat flushing my cheeks. He took me to the lake where I was going to collect water for Bellamy.

He trudged into the water and pulled out some red plant. He handed it to me and said, "Boil it in some water and give it to your friend."

"Thank you," I said, "do you have a name?"

"Lincoln."

"Thank you, Lincoln," I said. His name rolled off my tongue so easily, like I was made to say his name forever. Just like he appeared, he disappeared.

I bent down to collect some water into the measly  couple of canteens the Ark sent down with us. Then, I ran back to camp, only thinking about my interaction with Lincoln.

Clarke's Pov:

Finn woke me up. I was surprised to see that I slept into the afternoon, I guess the dropship is more comfortable than I thought. Bellamy was still asleep, but Octavia was gone.

We left the dropship because there was commotion outside. Everyone was crowded together, and it was hard to push through everyone. I saw what everyone was cheering for. It was Octavia. She was holding the canteens and a strange looking plant.

Once she saw me, she ran over. "Here," she said, handing me the plant and a canteen,"boil it and give it to Jasper. It'll make him better."

"How do you know that?" I asked.

"That's not important right now. Save our friend," she said.

I nodded and did as she said. It was lucky that these prisoners seemed to want to survive because they made many advancements in just a short amount of time. Like making pots and cups out of scrap metal. I poured some water into the pot and began to boil it.

I grabbed two make shift cups and poured the steaming medicine into one of them and regular water into the other. I got to the dropship as fast as I could without spilling any.

I placed Jasper's head into my lap  and opened his mouth. I poured the medicine  down his throat and left him to be. I hope it works. Then I made my way over to Bellamy. I tried to push last night from my mind, but I couldn't. It's not like he'll remember it. Why is it on my mind?

I sat down next to him. "Hey, Bellamy.. wake up," I said quietly, as I gently shook him awake.

He started to stir, and he opened his eyes slowly. He tried to sit up, but he winced and laid back down. "Hey, it's okay. I have some water for you," I said quietly, as I handed him the cup.

I helped him sit up so he could drink. Once he downed the cup, he said, "Thank you, Princess," in a weak voice.

"You're welcome," I muttered. I helped him to stand after that. It took a few minutes, but we did it eventually. I led him outside the dropship, and to his tent, it was definitely a better place for him to rest than a cold metal floor.

"How long am I condemned to bed rest, Doc?" He asked after I helped him onto his cot.

"Just take it easy for a couple of days, alright?" I said.

"Sure, thing," he said, not even attempting to hide the annoyance in his voice. Then I left.

I spent the rest of the day with Finn. We went out into the woods and explored. We even saw animals, real animals. And we talked about anything and everything. Spending time with Finn made me almost completely forget about last night. Almost.
