I stood there, like it was a mistake for me to leave.

I went to my room and searched for the divorce papers that my parents gave me when I turned 16. I called Marcus to pick me up once I finished packing. For sure naman na bukas pa uuwi si Aire.

I finished packing and went downstairs. I messaged Marcus again to pick me up. Hindi katagalan ay kumatok na si Marcus, I gathered my things then opened the door.

"Aire!"

"Ano ito, Luxiana? Aalis ka? Gabing-gabi na." He said.

"I gave you a chance to be a better husband for me and you left. It's very clear to me na hindi mo ako pinapahalagahan kaya aalis na lang ako."

"Bumalik ka sa kuwarto mo kung ayaw mong pasabugin ko ang kotse ng kaibigan mo."

Tinignan ko si Marcus as he gestured me to run pero I knew Aire was ruthless. I took off my shoes and stormed to my room.

"Matulog ka na, Luxiana." I heard him say from outside my room.

I layed there, crying as I faced the fate I had. Hindi ko siya kayang takasan, how the hell can I escape this loveless marriage?

Nang magising ako kinabukasan ay napansin ko na 9AM na pala. Bakit late na ako nagising?

Sinubukan kong tignan kung nasa kuwarto si Aire but Manang Ester said na kanina pa raw siyang umalis.

"Manang tulungan niyo po ako kailangan ko pong makatakas dito." I begged.

"Pasensya ka na, Luxiana.. kabilin-bilinan ni Boss Aire ay huwag na huwag kang hahayaang lumabas na ikaw lang at sinigurado niya na hindi ka makakaalis dito."

"P-po?"

"Ewan ko rin ba sa batang iyon. Pinaltan lahat ng lock sa bahay lalo na yung lock sa kuwarto mo. Lahat ng bintana ay nilagyan na niya ng harang."

Natulala ako nang sabihin niya iyon. What the hell?

"Why is he even doing this to me? Hindi niya ako mahal kaya nararapat lang na hindi niya ako pigilan na makaalis."

"Sumunod ka na lang muna, Luxiana."

Umakyat ako sa bahay at tinawagan si Mommy na bisitahin ako. I wanted to tell her everything about Aire and how he was behaving.

"Moró? Open the door." I ran downstairs and opened the door for Mommy. "Such a pretty girl you are."

"Mommy help me, kailangan kong umalis dito."

"Luxiana what is going on with you?"

"Oh, andito po pala kayo." Natigil ako when I heard Aire's voice. "I didn't know na bibisita pala si Mommy ngayon."

"I called her just now." I said and avoided him when he tried to kiss my cheek. "Mommy let's go to Daddy, is he busy?"

"No, baby."

"I'm afraid I can't let Luxiana go." Aire said. "You call your father and tell him to come here."

"Is there a problem, hijo? My husband misses Luxiana so much can we not go home now?"

"Apologies. Hindi ko pinapayagan na lumabas ngayon ng bahay si Luxiana."

"Why so?" Mommy asked.

"Well, you see there are a lot of dangerous people in the world." Naupo siya sa tabi ko while explaining. "The company is facing some difficulties right now and I fear that my wife's life is in great danger."

"Oh my, you know what? Tama ka. Dito ka na muna anak, I'm sure you're very much safe here with your husband."

"Mommy.."

"Of course naman po! In fact I was about to make lunch, do you want to join us?"

"No need, I think my husband needs me now kaya uuwi na ako."
