"I need to tell you something " was all cam had to say to have my tongue in knots.
It was as if i couldn't speak anything.
I knew he liked me.
Even if he did, I didn't wanna ruin our friendship.
From the starting of the semester, I've been noticing his behaviour towards me. It's like, diffrent. Ever since I got a major glow up after my ugly duckling stage, I knew he really liked me.
It was just on the basis of my looks tho. Now that I think about it, he probably doesn't even know my favourite color, a happy memory, my hobby, my birthday, nothing about me.
"Look, cam I see that you wanna tell me something urgent, but we're getting late, why don't you tell me about it on the way?" I said holding my breath.
"You see, it's Imp-" cam was cut off by a familiar manly voice, which gave me immediate butterflies.
"Aurelia, get out of his car. This instant." Was all Xavier said that I quickly muttered a silent apology and got out cams car, only to get into his suv.
It gave me butterflies but i never wanna admit it.
It was a sudden reflex to follow his command...
I was lost in my thought when suddenly I felt a hand on my lower back.
It was him.
Xavier.
In the flesh.
Here.
Staring right at me.
He wants me.
HOLY FUCKING SHIT HE WANTS ME!?!?!!
"Are you literally that stupid?! That guy tried to hurt you once, he won't hesitate to do that again" gritted Xavier.
"He's just a friend. He was probably drunk that night, don't worry about it" i reassured.
"Friends don't hurt you even when they're drunk. This guy has an ulterior motive. I command you to stay away from him." Commanded Xavier.
"Excuse me?! You're not my father that you can order me around. Barely a week and he's already ordering me around." I taunted.
"It is for your own safety. And if you needed a ride, you could've asked me, hell, anyone of us." Said Xavier.
" I don't want anymore favours from y'all. I already am thankful enough to you guys." I said with my head held down.
"Hey, it wasn't a favour. And you don't need to thank us. You can maybe show us all around the campus if you really wanna thank us, we've just moved here from California." Asked Xavier.
"Oh hell naw?! Id rather kiss my toes!" I declined.
"Oh really, are we that bad?" Asked Xavier, with an almost puppy face.
"I'm just kidding, alright let's go, I'll show you guys around. Oh and is that guy Antoine also enrolled in our high school?" I asked curiously.
"Yeah, why'd you ask that?" Asked Xavier suspiciously.
"Well, I've never seen him around the campus, that's why. Nothing more to it." I blushed as i replied.
"Nothing more to it, sure" added Xavier sarcastically.
Well I'm not gonna lie about the fact that he wasn't incorrect about the fact I'm asking about Antoine out of the blue.
Well, to justify myself, he's super hot.
Anyways,
I'll just focus on Xavier for now.
I can't deny the fact that something about him is just so so attractive that it just pulls me towards him.
"Uhm, hey can we join you at lunch, we're actually new in town and haven't seen the campus much. Would you mind touring us around?" Xavier asked, trying to make puppy eyes which was a disastrous fail and made him look like a pregnant chicken.
"Well, i wouldn't mind doing so. I've got fine arts at 11, after that I'm done with classes for the day. We might as well go touring around the campus and the town too?" I suggested.
"That'd be great!"replied Xavier in great excitement.
Well, I did have plans with mauretia, my college councellor to go for lunch at birlish, the best coffee house nearest to the campus.
Their manager, Craig is a cute guy, whom I used to like back in April last year.
I don't know if he's aware of that, but he might've noticed my visiting hours of the cafe dropping, no flirtings and decent behaviour, so yeah he might.
**We drove in silence to the college campus, while "older" by Isabel delarosa was playing**
I was shaking my head to the beats, surprised to find Xavier already aware of the song lyrics.
Wow, he seems like a music enthusiast.
I don't mention anything about it.
We reach the college campus, as i was about to get out of his car, he stops ke frantically, gets down, goes around the car and opens the gate for me.
"Aww, that was such a cute gesture, thankyou!" I squeal, blushing as the blood rose to my cheeks.
"My pleasure m'lady." Xavier says as he tries to bow but fails anyway.
"Don't you have classes?" I ask him, half expecting him to walk me to class.
"Well, no... I've English literature at 1pm, till then I'm just gonna deal with some matters." Said Xavier.
**We waved eachother goodbye**
All I was thinking about was Xaviers gesture today.
He's definitely the sweetest one in the whole group.
He might've left, but there was still a presence of butterflies that he gave my by his gesture and actions.
Oh dear lord. Please let him be the one.
