"Aura!? Why are you hanging out with these creatures?! Get away from them this instant!!" Screams mason, Auras dad.
"What do you mean by creatures?" Screams aura, clearly offended by her parents disrespecting her friends.
"Get away from them. This instant." Orders auras mum.
I'm pretty sure they were able to detect from our scents that we're alphas and deltas. Shit.
We are never getting back on that island ever again.
"Get in the car. Now." Orders auras dad.
"Fine. I'll see you guys later."says aura as she gets into her parent car.
"Fuck. They must've detected our scents." I say, knowing we're in deep shit.
"Why didn't you guys use scent blockers?! Are you dumb?! We're never gonna get on the island now." Screams xavier.
"I don't know... We never thought we'd have an encounter with her parents...we weren't prepared for that." Justifies Aiden.
" Let's go back to the pack house now. I've had enough shit to deal with today" i sigh walking back towards our cars.
**The next day**
We had already told Jayden and Antoine about our encounter with auras parents.
They were disappointed, but didn't make us lose hope.
As I got dressed for uni, I couldn't help but wear the mint cologne aura loves.
**At the University**
Aura was nowhere to be seen.
Without discussing anything, me, aiden and xavier got in our cars and drove all the way to Auras house.
**Outside auras house**
"You have to stay away from them! They are not good people! They will only hurt you!! Listen to your parents for once in your lifetime you idiotic child?!?!!" Screams aura's mother.
"Please aura...we don't want anything to happen to you..." Sighs aura's father.
"Why do you think they wanna hurt me? They're just my friends!"
"Well...we havent been completely honest with you...about your identity." Said mason.
"What the hell mason! Shut it. This instant. She isn't supposed to know that?!" Yelled lily.
"What? Tell me papa. Don't listen to maa. Tell me." Aura pleads.
Just then xavier bursts open the door.
Fuck. This shit wasn't planned.
"Xavie! What the hell are you doing here?" Aura exclaims.
"Me and the boys are here to tell you about your identity. We need you to trust us." Says Xavier.
"Will anyone tell me what's going on here?!" Screams aura.
"You're an omega." Blurts out lily, instantly regretting the words that came out of her mouth.
"What?!" Exclaims aura, clearly in shock.
"You're a werewolf. And not just any werewolf... You're the next in line heir." Says mason, with his head held low.
"Dad, why are you guys bullshitting me? It's not even my birthday."says Aura clearly surprised and caught off guard.
"We are not joking honey. We did hide this from you because we wanted you to have a normal childhood. We didn't want you to go through the hardships of being an heir."says mason.
"The royal pack have been looking for you for over a decade. Your grandmother, Queen Malia, has been looking for you. King Louis is very sick, and the island needs a ruler."says Xavier.
"This is too much... I gotta go."says Aura before storming off to her bedroom.
"Why did you have to tell her the truth? We could have given her a reasonable excuse"says mason.
"Honey how long do you think we could have hidden this from her? She is a smart child. She began asking me about my mother. It's not normal for a child to be unknown to her grandparents. And we need to keep her here. I can't have her go back on the island. It's not safe at all."says Lily with a concerned expression on her face.
"Ma'am, with all due respect, we have been allotted the mission to get her back on the island as soon as possible. We haven't seen our families for almost 14 years. This hasn't been easy for us, and we cannot return to the island without her. You need to let her go, this is not where she belongs."I say, hoping my words were enough to convince aura's parents.
"We do understand your point boys, it must have been very difficult surviving here without your family. I think Lily we should let Aura go. She is after all the heir to The throne."says mason, with sadness in his eyes.
"You're right. This is not where she belongs. She is the future queen of the howls arch Island. I still don't understand how she was born with two claw marks, considering the fact that I was born with one. The heirs to the Royal throne are the only people born with two claw marks."says Lily, clearly confused.
"You see ma'am, under any circumstance we have to get Aura back on the island by tomorrow as the royal pack has been informed of her existence. We expect you would cooperate with us and let her go with us. We will promise you a legal citizenship under your true identities as an Omega and an Alpha without an alpha pack, and have you face no consequences of faking passports and living without a pack"I say with clear confidence in my promise.
"We will have her pack her bags. You can come by midnight to pick her up."says Lily, not so sure about her decision.
"Great then, I suppose we will let you helpe her pack, and bid a temporary farewell to her."says aiden as he attempts to reach for the door.
I exit auras house with my pack and walk to Xaviers car.
"We gotta tell Antoine and Jayden the good news."I say with happiness on my face.
"Well...you know that we've been assigned the finding by the pulsur pack, right? And we're lying to her parents about getting her back to the Royal pack...that is so morally incorrect...I mean they're trusting us with their daughter." Says Antoine, with concern on his face.
"Yeah man. This isn't right." Says aiden.
"I know guys. But that wasn't what we're doing at all. We aren't gonna leave her to die with those psychopaths. We're gonna hand her to the pulsur pack, inform the royal pack about her in the pulsur pack house, and have them rescue her." I say, with surety in my plan.
"Well, that is brilliant, because that way we get our money, we get to stay on the island with our family, and she gets rescued without our involvement. The integrity of our pack remains constant. You're a fucking genius Kingsley." Says Jayden, with a confident smile on his face.
"Go and pack your bags now. I've contacted the portal. We're going to be at the island tomorrow " I say, excited, yet nervous to see my family after a span of 14 years.
"You bet your ass I'm Outta here" says Aiden, overjoyed.
Seeing his enthusiasm, we all laugh.
They all leave to pack their bags, whilst i go to the balcony, thinking about the worst possible scenario.
Whatever happens, I hope aura remains safe. I won't be able to live with myself if anything were to happen to her...
