"I mean, he looked at me like he knew me all his life or something, it was weird," I pushed my legs forward to catch up with Lauren and Jaime. Why am I friends with a gym rat and a tomboy?

Lauren looked at me, "So, you're saying a guy, who you don't know at all, knew your name and was staring at you weird?"

I nodded, "Yeah, what a creeper right?"

Lauren barked out a laugh, "Wow, so this is probably how Brandon feels all the time,"

I huffed as I wiped my sweaty brow, I was in gym with Jaime and Lauren and it was mile day. And to be honest I hate every minute of it. I love Jaime and Lauren, but without Bridget's icy glare watching them all the time, they can be really insensitive to my feelings. It's hard to talk to them, but I hold to tell someone about what happened with me and Brandon.

"That's not funny, Lauren," I snapped at her, cranky from the heat and the sweat under my armpits and between my boobs, "And I don't creep on Brandon. I admire him for afar,"

"Baldwin, how long have you been sitting in that seat?" Jaime asked as she slowed down to a light jog, "About two months right?"

I thought for awhile and nodded, "Yeah, so?"

Jaime looked at me with a disappointed frown, "Baldwin, it's not weird that a kid who sat behind you for two months and has been in your class for three quarters of the school year to know your name,"

My neck grew red, "I guess I'm not that observant," I admitted

Lauren stopped running to give me a cynical smirk, "BJ, do you know anyone other than us and Brandon at this school?"

I stopped and gasped for some air, I really hate running. My hair stuck to the back of my neck and the sides of my face, I wiped away a drip of sweat that almost went in my eye. I folded my arms, "That's not true! I know Bridget and Emma,"

"They don't count, BJ. Me, Jammy here, Winnie, and Tweety are a package. If you know one of us, you know all us," Lauren pointed out

Jaime gave her a disgusted look, "That not how that works, I don't know some of your friends and Emma-"

"Aw, shut up Jaime! Sometimes I want to push you down something, I swear," Lauren spat

"I know Serena Westfall," I exclaimed

Jaime sighed, "Everyone knows Serena,"

Lauren nodded in agreement, "She's popular, BJ. It's like her job or somethin' for everyone to know her,"

"Well...whatever," I muttered "But that still doesn't hide the fact that he was looking at me weird,"

Jaime shrugged, "You were staring at him with a dreamy smile and sighing, anyone would look at you weird, Baldwin,"

"Okay, can you guys stop being such butts and let me finish the story?" I said carefully, hoping that my voice won't crack with embarrassment.

Lauren furrowed her thick eyebrows together, "Didn't you finish the story like five minutes ago?"

I smiled and shook my head. I picked up my sweaty hair and fanned my hot neck, "No, I just told you about when he asked me about my bump,"

"I thought that was the only part," Jaime said

"Shush you face, Jams!" Lauren snapped, she flicked her wrist towards me, "Get on with it,"

"The way he smiled at me...it was amazing. He smiled at me three times, too! It's was like he knew we had this connection or something, because he couldn't take his eyes off of me,"
