Chapter 14

Jin's eyes widened hearing the emperor. His thoughts were not good on the words of the emperor. He was stopping his tears so hard.

Jungkook noticed how Jin was trembling. What he did to catch Hannie's attention? That's question roamed on Jungkook's mind. Hannie never communicated with other concubines. Then why him?

Seeing Jin's state Jungkook wondered. ' Doesn't he know about Sun kingdom's fest?'

He spoke again. "We are going there to the fest night." For which Jin looked up again. Should he got his hope up?

"Wh-what kind of fest night, y-your majesty?" Jin asked with trembling voice. Jungkook sighed before answering. He should had known the concubine was too much oblivious about his surroundings.

"It's a fest night arranged for the communication among the kingdoms. Those kings who attend this fest can bring any partner with them. That's why you'll be going with me." Hearing the emperor Jin relaxed a bit.

Wait. That's mean he would be with him alone? No. He didn't want that.

" Majesty?" Jin said with a low voice. " Hm." Jungkook responded.
Jin fidgeted with his fingers before speaking. " Can I bring someone with me?"

"For what?" Jungkook raised a brow at him. Jungkook sounded harsh to Jin. Jin bit his lips. "Aren't court lady's for to accompany concubines always?" Jin's eyes stayed low and voice was barely above whisper.

"That's when the emperor is not with them. But I'm going with you. So no court lady is going. Only some guards will accompany us." Jin looked up again as if he had something to say.

Jin wanted to ask did that mean his Taehyung hyung Will accompany them as well. But he didn't utter the words. Though he was very low familiar with the rules but still it was enough for him to understand it wouldn't be good to say Taehyung's name at that time.

So Jin sat quietly. Jungkook observed him. "Do you have anything to say?" He asked as he saw Jin was about to tell something but didn't. Jin just shook his head.

"Words Seokjin." Jungkook said with authority. Jin flinched. "No your majesty. " What could he even say at that moment ? That he didn't want to go with him? He couldn't say that.

"That's good. We have to go there tomorrow. It's a long journey. So be prepared by the early morning. Go and tell the court lady about your preparation. Go and take a look for your dresses what you want . Don't be late tomorrow."

"Okay your majesty." Jin bowed before leaving. After exiting the room he exhaled the breath of relief. He walked to where Dahyun was waiting for him.

He saw there already queen mother was talking to Dahyun. Though he only met the woman once still he could tell she was a good person. A mother like figure.

Jin caught Dahyun and Jiyeon's eyes. Dahyun immediately approached Jin. "Your highness, are you okay?" Dahyun asked in whisper as she was conscious about the other figure presented there.

Jin nodded and went in front the queen mother and bowed to her. She smiled at him before asking. "I hear that you're called here by the king. What is it Seokjin?"

"Your highness, majesty wants me to accompany him in the Sun kingdom's fest night." Jin told her making her smile widely. "Really? He is taking you?" She seemed so happy about it. For which Jin just nodded and tried to keep a smile.

"Oh. Why are you still here? You have to prepare for the fest. Let's go we have to select the dresses for you. Let's go." The queen mother seemed so excited about it. She literally dragged Seokjin with her for the dress selection.
