The carriage was going in a steady speed. The sun was shining bright above by then. A calm atmosphere could be seen outside. But it wasn't the same case inside the carriage.
Jin was feeling uncomfortable. There was seat also on the opposite side of Jin. Then why the emperor had to take the seat beside him. Thinking this Jin's lips stayed in a pout. He was glued to the side of carriage in order to maintain as much distance as he could from the emperor.
On the other side, Jungkook spread a map on his knees. The seat was wide enough to do so. He was connecting some dots on the map. That's what Jin understood by glancing secretly.
Jin was thinking to shift on the opposite seat. But he didn't even have the courage to move beside Jungkook. It wouldn't be lie to say that Jin was even taking his breath cautiously. The emperor left a impression on Jin that he couldn't overcome with.
Jin was feeling hungry. He didn't eat anything in the morning. It was going to be launch time soon. Thinking about food he was feeling more hungry. The more he was thinking about all this the more his pout deepening.
Right then his stomach growled. His eyes became wide. Of course Jungkook heard that clearly. Jin wanted nothing more than to be invisible. He kept his head low. It was embarrassing.
Jungkook wrapped the map and put it inside a box. "Didn't you eat anything in the morning?" Jungkook asked without looking at Jin. But Jin shook his head forgetting that he should use words.
" Did you? " Jungkook again asked putting emphasis on the words.Jin looked up. " Your majesty, you ordered to be on time. I didn't want to be late. So why I didn't eat." Jin's gaze lowered.
Jungkook took a pause before saying. "You should have maintained your time. You were informed it was a long journey. Then of course you have to eat before coming. Instead of spending time on make up you should have eaten something. Obviously you spend a lot time for being ready. We're going to reach there at night. To show whom you are prepared like this? "
Jungkook's words came harshly. Jin pouted again. He didn't want to do any of that. "Dahyun noona said I have to dress like this. Queen mother selected all the dress and send some maids to do the make up. And-" Jin took a breath. He had to defend himself and he was finding it difficult.
Jin again continued. "And they said I must have a good impression on you. I apologize you majesty. I will not dress like this." Jin tried to bow in that sitting position. But Jungkook didn't properly hear the last part as he already chuckled hearing Jin.
To have a good impression! On Jungkook!
Jungkook looked at Jin who was still bowing. He was going to say something but stopped when he noticed a certain hair clip on Jin's crown head.
Jin was wearing the hair clip on his left side and Jungkook was sitting on the right side. Also Jungkook didn't payed much attention to Jin's dress and jewelry when he came as he was distracted by something else that he was defining as 'make up' to Jin.
"Where did you get that hair clip from?" Jungkook asked angrily. He knew whose hair clip that was. He himself chose that hair clip and bought later. He knew whom he gave that hair clip to. Then how came Jin was wearing it.
Jin looked up hearing Jungkook and noticed where Jungkook was looking. "Hannie hyung gave it to me." Jungkook's eyebrows knitted. "Tell me honestly Seokjin. Did you stole it?" Jungkook yelled.
Jin flinched at that. Tears were already forming on his eyes. Stealing is a bad deed. Why would he steal? No one ever accused him of stealing.
"No. I didn't ever steal anything. I liked this hair clip. So Hannie hyung gave it." Jungkook became more angry hearing this. "And you take it just like that?" Jungkook voiced out angrily. Jin controlled his tears.
