Rich strong aromas of coffee beans, cinnamon cakes, and other sweet delectables wafted around the cozy coffee shop, the periodic sound of a loud ding—signaling someone entering the establishment—meeting the ears of all who resided there.
That included the mixture of humans and hybrids, more of the latter as it was a famous hybrid cafe in that area. Actually, it wasn't too far away from the company of where Sunhee worked, this area extremely hybrid friendly.
In fact, the fox hybrid currently sat at a corner booth in the sweetly smelling place, three other hybrids around her. Beside her was a chipper panda hybrid, who got lucky when it came to seating arrangement picked by the fox. She deemed it would be more comfortable for him since the other two were closer and still a bit cautious around the male.
It's been about 30 minutes since they left the daycare center, some more melancholy than others at the idea of leaving so soon. But it was an enjoyable hour of childish giggles and screams, paired with bleats, chuffs, and many more joyous sounds from the kits. Two men in particular were over the moon at being able to watch their soulmate play with the children, thoughts shifting more than once to a future that starred her with their own adorable kits.
"Did you guys want anything before we start? I'll go up and order." Sunhee questioned the table, already pulling out her wallet as she prepared herself to get up. However, her actions were halted the moment an arm darted across the table to latch onto her wrist. She quirked a brow, tilting her head to the side.
"I'll pay. Actually, I'll go and order." Yoongi nodded his head as if he already decided he'd do it, lips curled down. "I don't like how that cashier looked at you when we walked in." He hissed quietly, wings fluttering ever so slightly.
"I... saw it too." Jungkook piped up, gently grabbing at the back of her cardigan. "He's looking at you right now." He seethed lowly, eyes flickering up to the male behind the counter, who quickly looked away the second he was caught.
"Oh I noticed too." Sunhee shrugged as if it wasn't a big deal, standing up from the booth. "It's not like I find him attractive. You guys are worrying over nothing." She chuckled with a smirk, looking down at all three. Hobi had a knowing grin plastered on his lips from behind Yoongi, finding their sweet mate so amazing.
"I trust you. I don't fucking trust him." Yoongi spat, flickering his gaze over towards the male every so often, scowling when he'd find him staring back, to only turn away with a roll of his eyes. Yoongi wanted to rip those eyes out his fucking head. "And he's a human, sometimes they can be unpredictable."
"Times have changed Yoongs. Not many humans are as deranged and derogatory towards hybrids compared to how it was years ago." Sunhee reasoned with a grin. "I highly doubt—"
"He's staring at your ass." Jungkook blurted out with a louder growl ripping through the air. His words had Hobi narrowing his eyes, just to mimic that same sound. A loud hiss sounded from Yoongi, and surprisingly, Sunhee let a growl slip as she clenched her jaw.
"Guys. What do you want?" She said through clenched teeth, fingers tapping on the table surface repeatedly. Oh she was pissed. They clearly realized that, knowing they wouldn't be able to combat her stubbornness when she was dead set on it.
"Me and Yoongs will just have an Iced Americano." Hobi replied for both of them, wondering what was going through that intricate brain of hers.
"I'll have a banana cake." Jungkook said with that same soft voice of his, even though he was strong with his words and gaze.
Sunhee hummed, engraving their words to memory as she thought of her own order. "Great, thank you." Then her fiery gaze turned to Kook, who stared back at her with curious eyes. "Kookie, could you assist me?"
