Neuvillette was slightly taken aback by the intrusion of the boss' hand around his waist. The man's grip was tight, and Neuvillette felt like it would leave a bruise. He wanted to get away from that strange man as soon as possible, but seeing the knife the bartender was holding, he didn't dare move an inch. The man was pressing the knife hard enough to draw blood on the intruder's arm. Surely, not long after, blood started dripping from the man's hand.
The man instantly felt the burning sensation of his arm's skin being split open. In that moment, he started yelling like a mad man.
'B-boss, are you fucked in the head?! Why would you do that to my precious arm?!'He retired his arm from Neuvillette's slim figure and watched in awe how blood kept dripping and dripping. He turned his head back to his fellow friends.
'You useless pieces of trash, don't just stand there and look stupid! Come help me out!' The said man screamed. It almost broke Neuvillette's eardrums. With the music loud enough to cover even his own thoughts, Neuvillette could clearly hear the desperation in his cracked voice. It wasn't even that deep. He was lucky the boss didn't cut his entire arm just like he said before.
'You're making such a fuss over nothing.' It was like he was reading Neuvillette's mind. The boss then continued, 'Try anything else, and next time, I'm gonna feed you to my dog.'
He had said it so effortlessly, and Neuvillette gagged a little at the gruesome thought. Just imagining all of that made him feel like throwing up, but it was kind of cute how the boss was protecting him from these weird people.
Neuvillette fixed his eyes on the boss.
'Can we move to the next person now, please? I think I've seen enough of this man.'With no further complaining, the boss once again took the lead to the next suspect. The boss himself didn't know who Neuvillette was looking for, but Neuvillette was glad he never asked such thing. He was glad that at least one more person was there to help him find the criminal.
They've walked for a while when Neuvillette noticed they were next to the bathrooms. The worst-case scenarios kept popping up in his mind, and all of them turned out to be true. Neuvillette saw a familiar figure standing next to the bathroom door. He was peeking through the door and staring like a creepy old man.
Frightened, Neuvillette whispered to the boss before they were close enough for him to hear. 'Are you sure you want to go near this one...?'
'Don't worry, nothing will happen. Just ask your questions, and then we'll leave.' He simply said. This man had no fears!
They slowly approached the person somehow familiar to Neuvillette. Once they got close enough to him, Neuvillette finally realized who he actually was! No, he wasn't a criminal, and he wasn't Fontaine's Fear either. It was his own uncle! Neuvillette froze in place, and as crazy as that sounded, Neuvillette didn't recall his uncle to look like that.
It was the only uncle he ever met in his life, and the only one he got along with. He never expected him to... be so weird! Staring at people in the bathroom like that, just how crazy can you be?
The man seemed to notice the couple's presence, and, in an instant, he snapped his neck to look at them. He and the couple both looked like they've seen a ghost. The most accurate take on the situation was that Neuvillette and the bartender saw a ghost, as the appearance of the said man was nothing of what they expected! His eyes were red, and ugly eyebags were formed under them. He didn't have the looks Neuvillette remembered, the looks of an elegant young man. He now looked old and disgusting, and he had saliva drooling down his chin.
'Neuvillette, is that you, my dear?' The man suddenly said. He took out a hand and reached for Neuvillette's face to hold it. Even his hand looked like one of a fossil's! He himself looked like one, actually. He looked like he would turn into dust just by a single blow of the wind, leaving only his bones intact. Or maybe, even those would've been dismersed with the rest of his body. Not wanting to feel the touch of ashes on his face, Neuvillette refused the reaching hand.
