'Move and I shoot.' The woman strictly said.
They were so focused on the situation that they hadn't noticed the woman and her companions come so close to them. In the span of a second, they already put the trio in a deadly situation.
Neuvillette turned his head to look at Lyney. Next to his temple, a gun held by an elegant hand was ready to end his life. The hand gripped the gun so hard Neuvillette could see the veins almost exploding. The hand belonged to the purple haired woman. She was furious, and whatever the reason was she was so furious about, Neuvillette knew it didn't mean any good.
It couldn't mean any good.
'Are you seriously threatening us right now? At least make it look cool if you want to intimidate us.'
And there he went again, Lyney and his stupid remarks. If Neuvillette was able to move freely right now, he would've gone and slapped him. But that would just result in all of them being shot.
Most likely.
Hearing that remark, the woman grabbed Lyney by the neck and almost shoved the gun in his brain.
'Is this intimidating enough?'
The boy stopped talking. Noticing that, the woman freed his neck but still held him in place.
Neuvillette discreetly looked at Lynette, too. She was as natural as possible, but Neuvillette could sense an uneasy feeling flowing through her body. Her lips twitched, and her eyes trembled. She was scared.
Neuvillette finally eyed his threatener.
It was an obvious live or die situation, but for Neuvillette, it surely was a live one. And he would've made anything he could for his friends to share the same fate.
Neuvillette sighed, and in the span of a second, a shrieking cry was heard, and the man threatening him was on the ground. Neuvillette pressed his leg on the man's chest.
With a single kick of his leg, Neuvillette escaped from the man's grip and now pointed the gun at Lyney's threatener. She frowned her eyebrows, and it looked like she was about to pull the trigger from anger.
Jolting in surprise, the man who was pointing the gun at Lynette was now pointing it at Neuvillette. Of course, he couldn't let his boss die by the hands of their prey. It was Lynette's chance to escape, and so she tried to, but the man had other plans. He had to choose between protecting his boss' reputation by successfully keeping Lynette captive or keeping his boss alive, but he somehow managed to do both.
He caught Lynette and seized her all while still holding the gun at Neuvillette!
The purple haired woman broke the silence and spoke in a serious tone. 'How much do you know?'
'You must be his brother, am I right?' Her serious tone was covered by a discreet chuckle. 'I didn't know you would find us so easily.'
'Then that simply means you're bad at doing your job.'
As she pushed the gun as hard as she could onto Lyney's temple, she looked at Neuvillette.
'Bad at doing my job? It took you years to find me.'
'Find me'? Neuvillette thought. Was she referring to Fontaine's Fear? This woman couldn't possibly be Fontaine's Fear. As far as Neuvillette knew, he was a man... a blond man. According to that picture, he was tall and pretty muscular. There was no way a woman could disguise that well. Neuvillette couldn't help but think everything she was saying almost sounded as if she was pretending to be the real criminal.
But the thought of Fontaine's Fear made his blood boil. He gripped the gun harder. 'Where is Freminet?'
The woman laughed.
