When Neuvillette woke up, the warmth on his lower half was gone. He slowly opened his eyes to look around the room, but he was met with nothing. He was all by himself in Wriothesley's room.
Neuvillette sighed and lay back down on the bed. He closed his eyes to go back to sleep. Wriothesley's bed was soft and comfortable, and fresh air entered the room through the balcony door, making Neuvillette feel calm. It was probably Wriothesley who opened the door in the morning. Where even was he? Perhaps he was at work.
Work...
Work?
WORK!
That's right! Neuvillette was in no vacantion, he had work to attend to! He abruptly got up from the bed and rushed to the door. First things first, he had to wash up. Before he arrived at the door, a small paper with something written on it caught his attention. It sat untouched on the desk, right next to Wriothesley's laptop. Neuvillette picked it up and read it quickly in his mind.
'Unfortunately, I was called early in the morning at work. There's food in the fridge, make yourself at home.
Also, in case you forgot, it's Saturday.
-your fav, wrio'
Next to 'Wrio', the man drew a small heart and a smiling face with its tongue out. Neuvillette blushed and placed the paper back on the desk. Thanks to Wriothesley, he now knew it's Saturday, so there was no work for Neuvillette unless it was something very important. It was the best opportunity to bring some of his stuff at Wriothesley's house.
Neuvillette quickly got ready to leave the house. Unfortunately for him, he had to go out in his work clothes. There was no way he would be seen in public in sleep clothes, and as work clothes didn't seem like the best option either, they were much better than pajamas.
He was back in the bedroom after he finished getting ready. Neuvillette thought it'd be better to close the balcony door even if he wouldn't be gone for too long. After doing so, Neuvillette looked at the desk and watched how the small piece of paper was sitting still in its place. Neuvillette sighed as he picked it up and put it in his pocket.
As Wriothesley promised, it didn't take long for Neuvillette to arrive at his own house. He rushed to the door without any second thoughts. Just as he was about to unlock it and walk in, he heard a small but weird sound somewhere near him. Neuvillette looked around in confusion.
His eyes landed on something terrifying, and fear rushed through him.
Not far away from him, a purple haired woman, along with a blonde woman, were gardening together. The purple haired woman was intently watching how the blonde woman was wetting the flowers, almost as if she was lost in her thoughts. At first, you might think it was a pleasant and cute view. That until you realize who it was.
The crazy woman from last night and Navia.
Neuvillette's breathing stopped. He wanted to warn Navia, but he didn't want to be noticed by Clorinde. He froze in time and place, not knowing what to do.
His prayers went unheard as Clorinde suddenly moved her gaze from Navia and looked at Neuvillette straight in the eyes. Shit. Her deep purple eyes were piercing needles through Neuvillette's skin, and he felt more than exposed right now. Does she know I was staring? Neuvillette thought. He quickly walked inside the house and locked the door. Neuvillette sat down and took deep breaths in. Out of anyone, it was Navia who fell in that psycho's trap. Just for how long have they known each other? Could Navia also be a criminal?
