MANON HAD BEEN WRITING WHEN SAM APPEARED AT HER DOOR, knocking. She raised her head, running a hand through her hair. "Hey, what's up?"
"I've been thinking..."
"Oh god, we're all in danger. Sam's been thinking!"
"Shut up. Anyway, you know the house in Norfolk we've been talking about?" He looked nervous, rubbing the back of his neck as he spoke.
Manon closed her book and spun on her chair to face him fully, leaning back. "Yeah, of course I do, why?"
"Well, I was thinking before, I've never been to Norfolk. Neither has Colby," Sam smiled at Manon when she did. "So, do you think we'd be able to go?"
"You wanna see it?" Her eyes widened at his question, her smile brightening. "Actually?"
"Yeah, of course!"
"Sam, I'd love for you to see Norfolk," she replied, grinning. "It would be awesome. We could leave tomorrow, I can book tickets."
"Wait - okay, awesome!"
"Right, so you go pack and let Colby know, I'll tell Gracie and Taylor, they've never been either."
"Yes ma'am!"
