Rhodes Island continued its journey, though its true destination wasn't Rim Billton.

However, one fact remained true: the landship housed many Infected. Babel's researchers and medical staff worked on Oripathy, achieving partial success in alleviating the pain during flare-ups, despite the strange taste of the medicine.

Roy wasn't stationed at the control core permanently since his role as a combatant didn't require it. Rhodes Island moved south, but those in the know understood that the real destination was northward. The situation in Kazdel was stagnant, yet Roy sensed the war's resolution was near, and the Doctor and the princess were plotting something.

Roy chose not to dwell on it, leaving the strategizing to Kal'tsit and the Doctor.

Suddenly, Roy noticed a Sarkaz figure spying at the end of a corridor, looking into a window of the medical laboratory where Oripathy research was conducted. Roy didn't recognize this individual from Babel's roster, though the person's actions and the micro-camera in hand suggested espionage.

"Is he a spy?"

Roy kept walking but decided to act since he was part of Babel now. He didn't need to personally intervene.

The Sarkaz stopped, turning to Roy and noticing his B197 identity card. Panic flashed on the Sarkaz's face before he fled.

Judging by his reaction and actions, Roy confirmed his spy identity.

"Remonia, Drive him away."

"Yes! I'll shred him and scatter his remains on these walls!"

Remonia transformed into a red streak, piercing the Sarkaz and injecting him with blood energy, causing his body to swell like an overinflated balloon.

Roy foresaw the grotesque outcome and intervened.

"Don't use that move, Remonia !"

Lemony obediently retracted the blood energy, leaving the Sarkaz drained and conscious but doomed.

Roy had no interest in interrogating him, knowing he was from Theresis' faction.

Ignoring the collapsed Sarkaz, Roy continued along the corridor...

Meanwhile, in the control core...

"So, this man is your kin, and his blood can also suppress Oripathy?"

"Yes."

Doctor directly admitted this to Kal'tsit. Since awakening from his coffin, Kal'tsit had been by his side, knowing many of his secrets, second only to Theresa. Doctor didn't reveal this out of trust but because it didn't hinder his plans.

"Then why not take extreme measures?"

Doctor paused, understanding Kal'tsit's question wasn't out of personal desire but her logical reasoning. Kal'tsit was a machine-like figure, full of compassion and humanity, which limited her potential as a researcher.

For Doctor, an emotional pawn was sometimes more useful than a cold, unyielding one.

"Because I can't defeat him, and he's crucial for building the era I envision."

Though countless years had passed since Doctor's era ended, he remembered the catastrophic events involving beings wielding Source Fragments. These beings, embodying the planet's will, possessed unparalleled combat skills and weaponry, or the ability to summon mythical entities, ending that civilization. Though scientists later deciphered the Source Fragments, converting them for human use, it was too late.

They had the strongest weapons but no one to wield them—a tragic end.

"You just need to remember one thing, Dr. Kal'tsit."

Having said that, the Doctor turned and looked out the window, a hint of nostalgia appearing on his face beneath the helmet.

"He is one of the incarnations of the will of this land full of suffering, but he stands on our side."
