How Not to Get Lost?

Bee could hear sounds ahead that might've been Erwin. He was moving quite fast and she chased after him.

She ducked around umbrellas and children and a lady whose family tied balloons to her wheelchair and passed her some cake.

Bee flew over ponds, past flowers and people on benches

Bee flew over ponds, past flowers and people on benches. Some had their dogs whom she swerved to avoid.

Then sounds Erwin made suddenly stopped. She zipped to the branches where the last noise had begun. She peered through the leaves, but no elves were inside.

"Hello, are you in here?"

"Why follow me?" a strange voice answered.

"Oh! Excuse me. I thought you were Erwin," she apologized to the space in the leaves.

A snuffling sound could be heard, then two little eyes peered out of the tree. "I'm not," said the voice.

"I can see that you're not," answered Bee. "You seem to have whiskers."

"They help me to feel where I need to go next," the proud voice now stated

"They help me to feel where I need to go next," the proud voice now stated.

"Do you think you could help me? I'm probably lost. I'm looking for—"

"I know. Erwin."

"Yes, that's right! Do you know where he is?"

"Let me have a look at you there...
before I reveal any secrets." And the branches now parted for a small furry body to squeeze itself out and into the light.

"What is your name? asked Bee, quite politely.

"I'm Raffey."

"What secrets do rats have, Raffey?"

"Well for one thing, you've come along at a very good time."

"You can help me?"

"And you can help me!" said the rat. "Come, I might have a task you can complete, but it is a tall one."

"A secret?"

"It is!"

Bee followed Raffey down a long branch and out to the trail. Raffey hopped around flowers in their beds and Bee flew beside him as fast as she dared.

"Look! There it is!"

"What is?" asked Bee, confused and staring ahead.

"Your assignment!" And Raffey skedaddled. "Good luck."

"But, what do I do?"called Bee after him, feeling alarmed.

"You have to convince her I need to come in."

"What? Who?"

"What? Who?"

"That girl over there. You need to convince her to let me in the gift shop."

"But she is a human!"

"I said this was a tall assignment."

"How would she do that?" Bee asked.

"She'll need the shiny thing that's kept on the hook, but right now, I need to go. I can't be seen." Raffey disappeared into a bush, at the same exact moment Bee turned her head and saw... a big dragon with fur.

It was headed straight for her! There was no time to move.
