Taking cover, heartbreak warnings, ocean luring,
A couple hundred summer storms.
Flashbacks, sea chase, daydreams, stir-crazy,
Wishing on pennies, missing all these memories,
Nothing is the same anymore.Got another lover, back and forth, under the covers,
But you're still the one I adore.
So tell me lies, otherwise I'll suffer
And keep washing up on your shores.
Never needed anyone more.Twinkling lights, magical eyes,
You still always cross my mind.
Wishing you were the one while you just keep getting high.
Your body dances on my heart, feel the beat in sync,
Pretending you're mine.Now you're drunk on Christmas,
All the magic's gone by the drink in your hand.
Oh, could this still be classified as romance?
Hearts so sore, it's been a bore,
Never wanted anybody more.

PoetryPoems of love, the unrequited kind. With words from an occasional anxious, lonely, self-loathing mind. Who tends to crush on the forbidden and wishes on anything so that one person would be mine. Oh, how I love the unrequited.
