What an epic love story, just me lost in a never-ending trance.
I wish I weren't such a sucker for a romanticized romance.
'Cause I memorized the best lines until I saw the plot had shifted,
Now you've recast my part, yet you're still the star in my script.
You're the "Lover Mistaken for a Mediocre Man."
I'm the "Love-struck Fool, Who Thinks She's Found a Good Move-on Plan."
Episode One features me seeking a spell called, "That Blue-Eyed Boy Ban,"
To erase you from my thoughts, clear you from my mind,
to rewrite the words I spilled in declarations, taking back what is mine.
So go ahead, yell the word, "Cut!"
'Cause I don't think my new season will suck,
Let's end your one-star show-
Your place in my heart is now closed.

Unrequited Love For the Ages
PoetryPoems of love, the unrequited kind. With words from an occasional anxious, lonely, self-loathing mind. Who tends to crush on the forbidden and wishes on anything so that one person would be mine. Oh, how I love the unrequited.
