We see Gojo, Geto, and Y/N playing a kind of battle card game, with Y/N interjecting to share something important with them.
Y/N: You both need to be careful.
Gojo looked puzzled by the warning from his senior, while Geto appeared annoyed and questioned him.
Geto: Careful of whom, exactly? You seem lost in thought. Did something happen?
Y/N: *Sigh* I can't provide many details, but there have been bad omens. Just be prepared if you encounter someone you should not engage with unless I'm with you.
Gojo was taken aback by this, continuing to play his cards as he defeated Geto and then faced off against Y/N.
Gojo: Pfft, well, thanks for the warning, but I think Suguru and I will be fine. We are the strongest, after all.
Y/N sighed as he confidently placed his final card on the table, easily defeating Gojo's last card, causing him to sigh and lean back on the sofa. Y/N continued to address them.
Y/N: Just be cautious, okay? Don't let your ego cloud your judgment, or else you might end up as prey. Remember, there's always a bigger fish out there.
Geto: *Nodding* We'll keep that in mind.
[Present]
They had believed that the two strongest sorcerers could handle the lone stranger who trespassed in the outpost, but they were mistaken. Y/N's warning had proven to be true. Geto was easily overpowered by Kaden, while Gojo struggled in his fight against him.
Geto coughed up black blood from his throat, a shocking sight that indicated something sinister had been done to him during the battle. His body weakened, his mind unable to comprehend the reason behind his sudden frailty, but it was clear that Kaden was responsible.
Surveying his surroundings, Geto witnessed the slaughter of his people without mercy. The creatures summoned by Kaden were no ordinary curse spirits; they were ruthless and deadly. The outpost was a scene of carnage, with blood pooling on the ground. Some were eaten alive by the wolf-like creatures, savagely tearing out their organs, while the giant crows joined in the gruesome feast. The humanoid giants swung their massive axes, ending the lives of the curse users with brutal efficiency. The screams of agony were silenced by the giants' stomping, splattering chunks of flesh in their wake.
Gojo, despite his injuries from Kaden's dual sickles that managed to breach his Infinity defense, continued to press his offense.
Gojo: How are you able to penetrate my Infinity!?
Kaden: *Amused hum* I study, learn, and research. By incorporating various theories into my mind, I can identify weaknesses, even in the strongest opponents. And you, in particular, are the easiest target.
Gojo evaded the sickle strikes and leaped backward to create some distance. His breathing was labored, and he noticed his curse energy rapidly depleting, a puzzling development as he hadn't expended much of it.
Gojo: *Grinning* So, how much have you learned about me?
Kaden: *Chuckles* It's a shame that I was the one who massacred the Gojo clan, taking them alive for my... research purposes. Their screams of agony were music to my ears, their blood a delightful taste to my senses. Oh, what splendid qualities they possessed.
Gojo's face slowly contorted with rage upon hearing Kaden's words, stirring something deep within him. Before engaging further, he posed one final question to confirm his suspicions.
