Chapter eighteen

Will
Deciding whether or not if I should face Luke again and have the courage enough to apologize to him, since after everything he deserves an apology.

Walking up to his high school at the Football field I spotted him as he is huddled around friends.

Singling him over to the bleachers as he walked forward towards me after waving off his friends, as we sit down on the bleachers.

"So...how come your back?" Luke asked as I took in a moment to reflect upon my response.

"I Guess i just really Needed to...come home" I said as Luke nodded slowly, looking off into the distance I build up enough courage to utter the words "I'm so sorry Luke" I say as Luke looked at me.

"I never ment to hurt you" I continued as Luke looks down at the grass muttering a soft "I know" as he looks off into the distance of the tress swinging left and right,

" I guess...I just never actually...saw this... really coming" I said as I looked off into the distance, Luke takes in a deep breath.

"Yeah...I mean we all do things we don't mean to...I mean we're all growing up..a-and changing you know?" He says with a nod, making me look at him with a soft smile.

"Yeah?" I said softly as Luke puts his hands over his face with a chuckle "Yeah" he replied as I give him a soft push as we sit there and laugh and enjoy each other's company.

Will's POV:
Taking a bus back to campus, I sit on the floor
With my computer, and emailing the listing of an application to be a graphic designer for a company at Ted publishings

Clicking send button..I felt a new wave of emotions wash over me...closing my laptop slowly I looked at the door of my dorm room..sitting in complete silence as I wait for the acceptance message that should be delivered in two or three business days.

Mike's POV:
After everything with Will I just sit silent on my bed staring at the wall just thinking and imagining if things could...have possibly worked out differently.

And just thinking of him...like he's stuck on my mind like glue...I bawl my hands together as memories flow through my mind...making my eyes slowly fill with tears, so this is what heartbreak feels like?..

Running my fingers through my hair I shut my eyes closed just letting the tears flow slowly down my cheek.

Will
Sitting in the library finishing up my last exam for the semester I see Max and Dustin sitting together with Angela....ignoring them I put my focus back to my work as I heard my phone ping.

Nervously I picked it up unlocking it, and opening up my emails.

My heart instantly sank into the deepest part of my body as I see a big approved email with a green check mark! Letting me know I got the position and that I should be starting next week! Just before the second semester starts.

Smiling to myself I turn my phone off and hug it closer to my chest...as I imagine what this new chapter of my life will be like.
