Opening my eyes, I found myself in an empty black void, the clothes on my body were gone and a feeling of weightlessness surrounded me, as if I was mid-fall.
It was then that a screen appeared in front of me.
[YOU HAVE DIED]
It was white and transparent, as if a glass window was floating in front of me.
I could almost feel the smile crawl onto my face, as giddy joy started to well up inside of me.
Not because I apparently died, if this screen was anything to go by, but because I've read enough Light novels and played enough JRPG's to know what this means.
"Isekai Baby! Woooh!!!" I cheered, waving my arms over my head as my voice disappeared in the far distance, not even the measliest of echoes returning.
[PLEASE ROLL THE DIE]
I turned to look back at the screen, a six-sided die resting on the screen as if it was a table.
"What am I rolling for?" I asked out loud, hoping to get some answer.
"..." I waited a few seconds, no answer coming to me, before I looked closely at the screen once more.
In little lettering, much more cursive and elegant than the blocky font of the main screen, were words.
[Magical Affinity] It read, and I couldn't help but start kicking the ground as if I was dancing in excitement.
"An Isekai into a world of Magic? Hell yeah! Score!" I gave another cheer, my little victory dance subsiding as I returned to the Main screen, and tapped the Dice.
I watched it roll, bouncing on numbers as it rolled in an invisible cage, before slowing down and landing on a number.
"1? What's the magic for one?" As soon as I asked that, The screen changed once more, turning into a list of six options.
[Fire, Ice, Water, Wind, Rock, Lightning]
"So if I got 1, does that mean my magical affinity is going to be-" The list changed, zooming in to the first affinity listed.
[YOUR MAGICAL AFFINITY IS FIRE] The screen said in its blocky words.
"Fire, okay. I was hoping for something less generic, but Fire is still cool I guess," I shrugged my shoulders, slightly disappointed I didn't get Lightning, but still excited at the idea of throwing fireballs and turning myself into a living flamethrower.
"Most of my games are telling me that Zombies are weak to fire, so hopefully I can kick some ass," I smirk, watching as the screen once again changed.
[PLEASE SPIN THE WHEEL] Instead of a die, there was a wheel with five different colors, Without bothering to look at the little text, I spun the wheel.
I watched the colors mix together as it spun faster and faster, like a circular rainbow, before eventually slowing down, a small arrow at the right side of the wheel clicking at each color that passed through it before finally resting on Red.
Once again, the List appeared beside me, this time telling me what the option were.
[Weapon Type- The color the wheel lands one shall detail the weapon type you are able to use] I frowned slightly at that, I knew of RPGs that locked certain items and weapons behind classes, but usually they tell you upfront what those weapons are before you pick a class.
I didn't pick a class yet, are they just choosing it for me?
Am I making my own class right now?
The red color on the wheel peeled away to reveal a word.
