Chapter 47

It has been three days and they still have not received any information about the incident. These days, Reylan was under a lot of stress because some of the board members are causing him problems. Putting pressure on him to respond and provide an explanation for the loss of stocks. Even Anaira is worried about him. These days, she visits Reylan at work whenever she has free time. Reylan's mood seemed to improve when she arrived. Anaira's schedule was also free today, so she decided to cook at home first and then visit Reylan. She told the driver to take her home. She arrived and went straight to the kitchen to start cooking.
After returning from a meeting, Reylan sat on the couch of his cabin in the office. He unfastened his necktie, removed his coat, and rolled up his sleeves to his elbows. Lean back on the couch and close his eyes. He did not realize he had fallen asleep. Michael approached him for a signature, but seeing how tired he was, he did not wake him up and returned to his work, closing the door behind them. 15 minutes later, Charlotte Tylore, the daughter of Reylan's business partner Brian Tylore arrived. She had worked with Reylan on some projects. Michael was not on that floor at the time. He was on the other floor, so she had no one to stop her from going into Reylan's cabin without permission. She opened the door and called out to him.

Charlotte - Reylan!!

Walking up to him, she noticed he was sleeping and smiled.

Charlotte- He does not appear scary when he is sleeping.
She said to herself as she sat on the other couch. Reylan was startled out of sleep when his phone rang. He was just about to pick up the phone when he noticed her.

Reylan - Miss Tylore!! When did you arrive?

Charlotte- Oh, come on, Reylan, how many times do I have to remind you to call me Charlotte? I have just arrived.

Reylan- Okay, Charlotte, what are you doing here?

Charlotte- It had been about a month or two since we had met. I was free today, so I came to meet you. How are you?

Reylan- I am fine. How about you?

As he was asking her, he checked his phone and saw that Andrew had called him. So he texted him while he was speaking with Charlotte.

Reylan

(Andre, what's up?)

                         (Let us meet at 7 p.m. at our hangout spot.)

Reylan 
(Hmm. Others are coming?)

                                               Andrew
(No, Rey. They are busy, so there are only two of us. I have a meeting, Rey. See you there! 👋)

Then, Reylan placed the phone down on the table and began speaking with Charlotte.

Charlotte- I am doing well too. I heard about what happened at your hotel. Did you find out who did it?

Reylan-(Sigh) We are trying, but there is no improvement.

Charlotte- Oh no, that is bad. I also learned about what happened during the board meeting. You must be under stress. I will be with you at the next board meeting, so do not worry. I will be there to support you.

Reylan- Hmm.

Then they continued talking about business. Anaira had made it to Reylan's cabin by then. Just as she was about to knock, Michael called her from behind.

Michael- Mrs. Knight!!

Anaira: (Turning her head) Hey Michael!! I got Reylan some lunch.

Michael- Oh wow. But, why are you going to knock? You do not have to knock, you can come in whenever you want, Mrs. Knight.

Anaira- (Smiles) Ohk.

Michael opened and held the door for Anaira to enter.

Anaira- Reylan!!

She called out for him. Both Reylan and Charlotte look towards the door. When Reylan saw her, he got up from the couch and approached her. He brought her and made her sit next to him on the couch. When Charlotte saw this, she was shocked. She could not believe that the cold Reylan was holding a girl so tenderly and so close.

Michael- Hello, Miss Tylore.

Micheal greeted her when he noticed her sitting on the couch. Charlotte came to her senses when Michael greeted her.

Charlotte- Hello, Secretary Michael! How're you doing?

Michael- I am doing well, Miss Tylore. How are you?

Charlotte- Me too.

Then she looked at Reylan and asked him.

Charlotte- Who is this lovely girl, Reylan?

Reylan-(Side hugging Anaira) Charlotte meet my wife Anaira Knight and Anaira this is Charlotte Tylore one of my partner's daughter and also one of my business partner too.

Charlotte was taken aback when she learned that Reylan had married and this was his wife.
Anaira smiled as Reylan introduced Charlotte to her.
