It is Friday night, I am wearing a white long sleeve sweater dress, tan tights, pink high-heeled boots. I got my nails done for the Chilton formal. I am wearing my rose gold heart earrings, matching bracelet and my rose pink heart locket. My makeup is my normal lip glossed lips and my pink eyeshadow. My hair is in lose waves. I grab my phone and head downstairs, locking my door on my way out with the code. After what happened last week, Grandmother and Grandfather changed my doorknob to a doorknob that is a pink gem. The doorknob has no visible lock, but the knob twist one way to lock it and two times to unlock. Grandfather has also decided that every room will have keypad on the side of the door and inside room. Grandmother thinks that is not necessary for every room just my bedroom and theirs. So now my room has a keypad on the outside and the inside.

When grandfather heard that Rory tried to break into my room, he knew he had protect his princess, even if it was from his other granddaughter. My grandparents have lost trust in Rory to follow the rules.

I walk down the stairs and I hear grandmother and grandfather conversations. Grandmother has Grandfather on speaker as he is in Prague. "We need to get Rory help. Trying to break into Victoria's room." Grandmother said. "We have already added keypads to Victoria's room, her music room, art room, the gym, and our room. Joseph has told us that we can't force Lorelai to get Rory help. I wish we could but we can't." Grandfather said. "I know, Richard. They are on their way." Grandmother said.

I got my drink and Grandmother's drink. "Princess, are you sure want to be here tonight? I can call the Anderson's to send you their car or Lawrence can take you there?" Grandmother asked. I handed Grandmother her drink. "I am fine, Grandmother. I don't need to runway from Rory. I will be civilized towards her. Thank you for the offer." I said. The doorbell rang. The maid got the door. "Let show begin." I said.

We are having dinner. "Your grandfather called last night and told me to let you know he's bringing you back something very special from Prague. Along with a very special present for Victoria." Grandmother said. "Oh, Grandfather doesn't have get me anything. I just want him to have safe trip." I said. Rory made a face. "Wow, Prague. How amazing is it that he's going to Prague?" Rory said. "It's supposed to be lovely, very dramatic castles everywhere." Grandmother said. "Did you know the cell that Václav Havel was held in is now a hostel? You can stay there for like $50 a night." Rory said. Rory turns to Lorelai, who is playing with her food. "Hey, maybe on our big trip to Europe we could go to Prague and stay in his cell." Rory said. "Absolutely. And then we can go to Turkey and stay in that place from Midnight Express." Lorelai said. "Lorelai, what are you doing?" Grandmother asked. I look towards Lorelai and saw that she picking out the avacado. "Getting rid of the avacado." Lorelai said. "Since when do you not like avacado?" Grandmother asked. "Since the day I said, "Gross. What is this?" and you said, "Avacado."" Lorelai said. 'She is very weird.' I thought. "I'm focusing on you now. Tell me all about the Chilton formal next week." Grandmother said to Rory. "There's a formal?" Lorelai asked. "How do you know about the formal?" Rory asked. "Um, I attended Chilton. I have been attending Chilton for the last 11 years." I said. "Yeah, how do you know about the formal?" Lorelai asked. 'Wow so now they are just ignoring me. Fanatics.' I thought. "I read my Chilton newsletter and Victoria goes Chilton too." Grandmother said. "Since when do you get a Chilton newsletter?" Lorelai said. "Well as a major contributor to Rory's education and Victoria's guardian, I figured I had the right to ask for a newsletter to be sent to my house." Grandmother said.  I smiled at this. Grandmother goes to get her copy of the newsletter. "Are you serious?" Lorelai asked. "And it's a good thing, too, since you don't bother to read yours. One of us should be up to date on the goings-on at Victoria's and Rory's school." Grandmother said. "Hey, Mom, I read my newsletter." Lorelai said. "You did?" Grandmother asked. "That's right." Lorelai said. "What was the picture on the cover?" Grandmother asked. "It was a picture of a really rich kid in plaid." Lorelai said. Grandmother showed Lorelai the cover. "It was a spotted owl." Grandmother said. "In plaid." Lorelai said. 'Oh brother.' I thought. Rory holds back laughter. "The owls are endangered and Chilton is taking donations to help them. Victoria and you gave a very nice one, in case you're interested." Grandmother said. "Mom, don't be giving donations on Rory's behalf. I'll do that." Lorelai said. "How can you do that when you don't bother to read the newsletter?" Grandmother asked. "I read the newsletter." Lorelai said. "You didn't know they were taking donations." Grandmother said. "It's a private school. They're always taking donations. They teach a class in it. I'll get them next time." Lorelai said. "Well what about the owls?" Grandmother asked. "They'll live." Lorelai said. "Well apparently they won't, dear. That's why they need the donations in the first place." Grandmother said. "So, you have a formal coming up?" Lorelai asked. "Yeah, but I don't think I'm going to go." Rory said. "Nonsense. Of course you're going. Victoria had gone to every formal since she started at Chilton." Grandmother said. "Mom, if Rory doesn't want to go she doesn't have to go." Lorelai said. "Well I don't understand why she wouldn't want to go." Grandmother said. "I know you don't." Lorelai said. "I'm gonna go get another Coke." Rory said. "What did you say to her?" Grandmother said. "What are you talking about?" Lorelai asked. "If she doesn't want to go it must be because of something you said." Grandmother said. "Mom, I promise. All I ever said to her about dances is that you go, you dance, you have punch, you eat, you take a picture, and then you get auctioned off to a biker g*ng from Sausalito." Lorelai said. "Lorelai, this is serious." Grandmother said. 'She is always joking.' I thought to myself. "Mom, I said nothing, OK? Rory's disdain of formals is totally her own. Let's just drop it, please." Lorelai said. "Fine." Grandmother said. "Fine." Lorelai said. Grandmother and Lorelai go back to their food. "What's wrong with the tomato?" Grandmother asked. "It was fraternizing with the enemy." Lorelai said. 'Just weird.' I thought to myself.
