Far up north, where ice and snow dominated the land, lay an entity.
Time could never touch it.
A concept that the being had begun to lament as of late. For it was only ever cold and hungry these days.
As time passed the Being's hunger grew which made the cold all encompassing. If it weren't trapped where it was then the hunger wouldn't have been a problem which meant that the cold that followed wouldn't even be relevant. But it is trapped so the Being is hungry and is cold and unable to help itself.
All the Being could do was ask it's followers to send it what food they could- which was only ever just enough to keep the Being from complete starvation.
So the moment that the Being felt it- anticipation had it pause and raise it's metaphorical ears.
Acutely the Being felt how a familiar creature went through that tear- the key that would liberate it from this place.
A being of magic.
Not only that but a being who is descendant from the ones who had once been banished from these lands.
Trapped and bound as it was the Being couldn't stop the way that it's mouth pulled upwards in a semblance of a smile that was nothing more than a mockery of the true gesture.
The beings of magic that had trapped it here in the first place had finally returned to the land.
For the first time since it had been trapped and bound to the frozen mountains the Being had something useful to do other than just bide it's time...

A/N: Hello, dear readers! It is my pleasure to inform you that Part Two of ATE will be going up! Part Two is called Across To You (ATY- not nearly as fun as the acronym for Across To Elsewhere, that's for sure). Most of the story will be happening in DB universe, though the HP universe will be far from forgotten about! There are still things left undone there after all...
