Jisoo sat on the bed inside the college's infirmary, wincing slightly as the nurse brought over a cold spray to relieve the pain in her ankle. She had fallen twice today—once during the game and the second time on someone whose name shall not be named.
At the sight of the spray, Jisoo glanced at Lisa, who was staring intently at her feet—or more precisely, at the spray near Jisoo's foot. "What a waste of resources," Lisa mumbled as the nurse pulled the curtains and left with the spray, advising Jisoo not to put much weight on her ankle.
"Yeah, and like getting high on it wasn't," Jennie retorted, flicking Lisa's forehead. She yelped in pain and rubbed her forehead, mumbling, "That was making the best out of it."
Ignoring them, Rose asked, "Will you be going back for practice?"
"I will, but I think I'll just watch you guys," Jisoo smiled.
"Let's go together then," Jennie offered Jisoo her elbow to lean on while getting up, pretending to be her escort. "Shall we?" she added with a wink.
"I feel like a third-wheeler whenever you guys do that," Rose groaned.
"Why? You have me, baby," Lisa said playfully.
Rose played along, linking her arm with Lisa's, and followed Jisoo and Jennie, who were laughing as they moved ahead.

Jisoo was sitting on the benches, watching everyone play. Some teams had already left for classes, as not all lectures were off—just a few. Now, it was only the junior section having a dodgeball match. Jisoo glanced at her watch; it was almost time for their class to leave as well.
"Water," Jennie huffed as she lazily ran toward the space next to Jisoo.
Jisoo passed her a towel as Jennie sprawled all over the seat while Jisoo opened the bottle for her.
"I think that's enough sports for today," Jennie spoke after chugging down the whole bottle.
"Don't worry it'll be over in a few minutes," Jisoo chuckled.
Jennie nodded, her gaze shifting to Lisa and some other girls whose names she did not know preparing a dance routine. Jisoo also followed Jennie's gaze.
"So, Who is Yoongi?" Jisoo addressed the elephant in the room. The 'cutesy' exchange of greetings had been bugging her.
"He's a friend I made while I was in a 'talking relationship phase' with Taehyung," Jennie replied.
Jisoo nodded, gesturing for her to go on.
"The start itself is weird 'cause he texted me one day when Taehyung was busy and told him to reply to my text. I kind of added him around that time since I wanted to know more about Taehyung, and you know," Jennie shrugged, looking a bit embarrassed at her past self.
"So we talked, and he told me many things about Taehyung, and kind of prepared me for the heartbreak."
Jisoo tilted her head in confusion, "How so?"
"Well, he told me Taehyung can't afford a relationship. He didn't share the details but did tell me that he's a scholarship student. So I knew he wouldn't go for a relationship with me, and his conditions made sense as all of it was him breaking rules while being a head boy."
"Shocker, since he looks like he's the sole heir to immense wealth and a family business," Jisoo joked.
Jennie laughed. "Yeah, he gives off that vibe," she agreed. "But he's just really good at hiding his struggles. Yoongi helped me realize that not everything is as it seems, and sometimes people have their own battles that we know nothing about."
Jisoo sighed, "Well, if he's been good to you, then that's what matters. Just be careful, okay?"
"Yeah, he's been a good friend to me pre- and post-breakup, listening to my rants and stuff," Jennie chuckled.
"A very good 'friend' indeed," Jisoo said suggestively.
"Oh come on," Jennie rolled her eyes but smiled.
Jisoo nudged her playfully, "Uh huh."
Just as the bell reverberated throughout the hall, Jennie stood up. "Okay, FBI, I am going."
"Huh, take me with you," Jisoo hurriedly got up and followed her, mindful of her ankle, while Jennie sped up, trying to run away from her, "See ya!"
Jisoo huffed, watching as Jennie zoomed past the corridors, her figure disappearing from view.
"Your loyal subject is here to assist you in walking down this long-stretched hall of ordeal," Lisa announced grandly, curtsying behind Jisoo, drawing amused glances from everyone passing by.
"Don't worry, I looked up a mental hospital for her," Rose remarked, only for Lisa to interject by placing a finger on Rose's lips. "Shush!"
"Bad omens should not be mentioned in front of our young princess," Lisa added with dramatic flair, making Jisoo realize what this was all about—that darned nickname.
"Lisa, do you want to die at the hands of the young princess?" Jisoo flicked her forehead.
Lisa rubbed her forehead, pouting. "Why is everybody doing that to me?"
Rose flicked her forehead too and added, "Because you have a big forehead," before sprinting away.
"You twerp," Lisa shouted, drawing glances from a few students still left in the corridors.
"Help Jisoo to her classroom," Rose screamed back.
Lisa put off her revenge and turned to Jisoo, taking her hand. "Shall we go, Princess?"
"Ugh, for the life of me, drop that," Jisoo groaned as they moved ahead.
"But he caught you. How can I?" Lisa said, making a face.
"I'll break his arms the next time I see him," Jisoo muttered.
Lisa laughed. "But seriously, why did he call you that?" she asked, genuinely curious.
"I am just as clueless as you are. But if it's him, it can't be anything nice. Probably, to point out that I am too delicate or fragile for sports, as I sprained my ankle in front of him if that makes sense."
"Kind of," Lisa said with an unsure look.
Jisoo briefly chuckled, and after walking a few steps, they reached Jisoo's class, XII A. Luckily, the teacher was not there yet. "Hurry back to your class," she told Lisa as she reached for the door.
"Okay," Lisa turned to go but then stopped and looked over her shoulder at Jisoo. "By the way, Unnie, what was it like being held in his strong arms?" she grinned.
Jisoo halted her hand on the knob, the lingering feeling of his touch coming back to her. "Lisa," she called and flipped her off. Her face was red, from anger or ... something else.
