Another day, another hustle
As the routine goes these days, the first lectures were dedicated to joint sports with the boys. And with my ankle still not better from yesterday, it sucked even more.
Our class was called out to the boy's sports room again for today's practice. I could hear the PE sir blowing his whistle from all the way to the grounds leading to their campus. I'm sure that's the best part of his job, it must be because teaching teenagers is equivalent to migraine.
On our way there, I heard Irene whisper, "Are we gonna do this every day? With them," she added. I knew exactly who 'them' were.
"Why, didn't you like Mr. Worldwide Handsome?" Seulgi laughed.
"Pah-lease, my ears bled listening to him yap about himself while standing near the stands."
"I remember you smiling at his dad jokes, though," Jennie chipped in.
"Good humor made him a little bearable," Irene shrugged.
"And that is exactly why we are doing this every day," I laughed.
"To listen to his dad jokes?" Seulgi laughed. "Didn't know you were 𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒌𝒚 like that." That made me laugh as well.
"I tell you, only Irene can match his 𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒌," I joked, getting glares from Miss Icy Irene. "And I was talking about the bearable part, as you know, many of us (especially Rose & Irene) don't like the male species that much," I said, glancing at Irene. "So 'this' is to-"
"avoid a bloodbath, got it," Seulgi interrupted, giving a thumbs-up, and ran to the front, entering the room. I shook my head, "It's not Sparta," and followed her.
We gathered in front of the PE sir, who had already spotted us and came near. The boys were already done with their warm-up and were gearing up for a game of basketball. Tearing my eyes from Taehyung and Co. (Namjoon, Jin, Jimin & Yoongi), I tried to focus on what the PE sir was saying.
"For warm-ups, I want you to do crunches and some warm-up exercises, and then join the boys in their game of basketball," he blew his whistle. "Ah, Jisoo, you can stick to crunches, exercises, or do another game that isn't as strenuous."
"Is he kidding? We'll get run over by those jocks," Jennie whispered as the PE sir walked over to the boys, who were a safe distance away from us. "And there's no basketball in the competition," she whined.
"Like you haven't been playing basketball with the boys around the block till eighth grade," I smiled at her. "And if you want to complain, tell the teacher, not me," I teased.
