Pain, Suffering, & Love

As I sit in the living room, in my spot, watching tv with Alexis, Damian, Trent and Jace, I keep checking my phone looking at the clock to see how much time has passed. It's only been about two and a half hours. It's a little after 12 p.m.

I sigh and rub my stomach slightly feeling some movement.

I called my school earlier and told them there was a family emergency so I would not be attending the rest of the day or Friday.

"Bria." Damian says my name. 

I look over to him sitting in the chair to the left of me. "Yeah."

"Me, Trent and Alexis finna ride and get something to eat. You want som'in'?" He asks me.

"I uh. I don't think so." I say. 

"Have you eaten today?" Alexis asks me.

I shake my head no.

"You need to eat." She says.

"I got food here." I say softly looking at her. "I'm going to fix me something, I promise." I say to her.

She nods and gives me a smile.

"We'll be back." Damian says walking to me, placing a kiss to my cheek. "I love you." He says pulling away. 

"I love you." I say to him.

They walk out and I stand walking into the bedroom to grab the weed and stuff and come back in to the living room.

I look at Jace sitting on the couch, at the right end, as he scrolls through his phone. "Wanna smoke?" I ask him.

He looks up at me, setting his phone on the coffee table in front of him. "Sure." He says.

"Do you want a joint or a bowl, or bong?" I ask as I sit back down in my spot.

"It don't matter." He says.

I go with packing the bowl. Once I have it packed I set the bowl on the table standing to walk to the kitchen to grab something to drink.

"You want something to drink?" I ask him.

"Yeah you got a cold one?" He asks.

"Yeah." I say grabbing a bottled pepsi for him and a water for me. I make my way back to the living room taking a seat.

"Do you care what we watch?" I ask looking at him as I hand him the pepsi bottle.

"Nah it don't matter. Thank you." He says as he takes the bottle.

"Welcome." I reply.

I pull up netflix and turn it Seinfeld. I begin to play his and hit the bowl a couple of times then pass it to Jace. He takes a couple hits passing it back.

We take turns hitting for the next few minutes before the bowl is finally ash.

"I'll pack another one in a minute." I say to him.

"Dat's cool. I'm finna use the bathroom real quick." He says, standing up making his way to the bathroom.

I sit there a minute and just watch the show for a few minutes.

I hear my phone begin ringing. I look over to the table beside me and see Zander's name. I take a deep breath and answer the phone. "Hello."

"Yo, we on da way back." He says to me.

"Okay. Trent, Alexis and Damian went to pick up food. Jace is in the bathroom." I say.

"'Ight. You hungry?" He asks me.

"Not really but she probably is." I say.

"Yeah we will figure out somethin' to eat for her." He says softly.
