The drive was silent, and as Ashar drove, she sat beside him, sobbing and hiccuping. He was not unaware of her distress.

"Can you stop crying? You can meet them tomorrow. Why are you crying even?" he asked, trying not to sound harsh, though irritation seeped through his voice.

"You can't understand," she replied, wiping her tears. He glanced at her with irritation but then remembered Asad.

"Ashar!" Just before he could sit in his car, Asad called out to him.

"What?" he replied, unbothered, while holding the car door.

"Come here," Asad gestured. Ashar twitched his eyebrows, considering refusing, but with a nonchalant attitude, he walked over.

"What happened? Say it quickly; I want to go!" Ashar said, tucking his hands into his pockets while Asad smirked.

"I have an online meeting. That's why, you bastard!" Ashar scowled, realizing he had shouted, and Asad's jaw dropped in surprise.

"So, are you planning to attend a meeting on your first night?" Asad pressed, taken aback by Ashar's confession. Ashar shrugged.

"Bhai, now you are a married man, so behave like one," Asad said with an exasperated look.

"What do you mean by a married man? Won't I attend my meetings just because I'm married?" Ashar was clueless, and Asad was exasperated.

"Bhai, you have responsibilities now," he said, stopping for a moment to pull something from his pocket. "Take this... Nayla aunty asked me to give it to you, considering how you are," Asad continued, handing him a diamond ring box. Ashar opened it, then closed it and put it in his pocket.

"Now listen carefully, Ashar! She is your wife now, and you are her husband. You have to take care of her. If she's crying, you need to lighten up her mood. If she's sick, you need to take care of her," Asad said calmly, placing a hand on Ashar's shoulder.

"Hmm, I know. And please, I'm not a child!" Ashar replied, irritation clear in his voice.

"Okay, if you think you're mature enough to handle all this, then why are you standing here?" Asad shot back with an attempt at a casual smile. Ashar walked away.

"Don't you find this veil suffocating?" he asked, attempting to change the topic, and she looked at him.

"No, it's Allah's command, so my discomfort doesn't matter," she replied, her voice still trembling from crying.

"But doesn't Allah say you shouldn't do parda in front of your husband?" he asked casually, and she looked at him in shock as realization dawned.

"Now he is my husband, and I am his wife... Allah, this is horrible," her inner voice shouted, and he glanced at her, confused.

"Now what happened? Why are you staring at me like that?" he asked with a playful smile as she hurriedly looked away.

"S-sorry," she stammered, glancing down at her fidgeting hands in embarrassment.

"By the way, you can look at me now," he said with a cheeky grin, waiting a moment before adding, "It's permissible!" She sat there, feeling even more embarrassed
Soon, they reached his house, but only Nayla and Seher were waiting for them.

He stopped the car and opened his door, but looked at her, who was sitting without any movement. "You can open the door," he said straightforwardly as he got out. She opened the door and stepped out as well.
