It was getting late in the evening. After praying Asr, Ayat was wandering around the apartment out of boredom. Feeling tired, she sank into the lounge sofa and thought, "When will he come?" A pout crossed her face, but then reality hit, and she relaxed her tense muscles.

"Are you mad, Ayat? Do you want him to spend all his time with you? Won't he have work to do?" She scolded herself while mumbling, "But why am I even missing him?" Wait... Am I missing him? She became tangled in her thoughts until a loud thud from the balcony broke her concentration. Something had fallen to the ground, and her heartbeat quickened. She instantly got up and turned toward the balcony, hesitating briefly before measuring her steps forward.

Finally, she moved closer and drew back the curtains, but there was no one there. She sighed in relief and stepped onto the balcony, only to discover a broken flower pot lying on the ground.

"Oh!" she exclaimed as she sat down to pick up the scattered pieces of the pot. Suddenly, she felt something soft brush against her leg. Her eyes widened in fear as she looked down to find herself staring into a pair of emerald green eyes.

"Meow!" A cat! Wait, WHAT? A cat???

"Aghhhhhhhhhh!" She screamed, jumping up and flinging the pieces of the pot from her hands, scattering them even more. In a panic, she rushed back inside, retreating to the lounge. The dark brown cat, its long fur trailing on the ground, followed her calmly, meowing in a cute, feminine voice as it sat and looked up at her. Ayat's heart raced, and she felt like she might cry.

"P-please stay away! Go away!" she pleaded, trying to shoo the cat away with her hands. But it continued to approach her.

"Ya Allah! Why is she coming towards me?" Ayat shouted in fear and bolted towards the kitchen, the cat in hot pursuit. "Hey, please stay away! Aghhhh!" she yelled, panic rising in her voice.

"Meowwww!" the cat responded, making Ayat cry out.

"Please stay away! Don't... don't come after me!" In her desperation, Ayat dashed to her bedroom and locked the door behind her. Leaning against it, she pressed her hand to her chest, which was pounding rapidly from fear. After catching her breath, she grabbed her phone and urgently dialed his number, glancing around in trepidation.

No no ayaan then what if she thinks I am such a- his thought broke at the ranging of his mobile ,he straightened himself and looked at the caller ID "ayat?" He said in amusement

"is she calling ME?" He pointed at himself not believing his eyes but then it got cut he instantly took the phone and dialed her number it was coming busy, he waited for a while and then again mobile rang, he picked up the call and before he could speak anything her shout rang

"Ayaannnnn..." she shouted in fear. He immediately stood up from his chair. "W-what happened, Ayat?" he asked desperately, hearing her cry.

"P-please c-come home fast!" she sobbed. His breath quickened, and fear gripped him. He instantly left his cabin and found Suraj standing with some files.

"Umm, here's the information-" Suraj began but was cut off when Ayaan rushed past him, saying, "Later, Suraj! Right now, I have more important work!" With that, he dashed out of the bank, leaving Suraj confused.

Ayaan exited and spotted Akash sitting in his car. "Akashhhh!" he shouted. Akash turned to him, waved, and without hesitation, Ayaan ran up to him. "Where are the keys for the bike?" he asked, desperation in his voice. Akash quickly produced the keys and handed them over without asking any questions. Ayaan rushed to the bike, put on his helmet, and started it, speeding away toward the apartment. Fear filled his mind as he wondered what had happened and why she was crying?
