It was raining and the wind was battering the walls of the house.

The moon was already high in the sky, shining through the window into Riki's room.

He could easily hear the sound of lightning getting closer and closer.

With all the noise, the young boy couldn't sleep.

Sighing, he got up from his bed and walked over to his window, scratching his eyes.

Tonight, the moon was hidden by black clouds that covered the entire sky.

Riki looked down at the hill in front of his house and his jaw dropped.

There was a young girl, standing at the top of the hill under the rain.

His heart began to beat faster and faster as he recognized her.

This girl had already spoken with Jake, his best friend, last year. But he couldn't remember her first name.

She rarely came to class and always sat at the back of the class. Her table was empty most of the time.

She kept her eyes fixed on her sparkling moon and her hair fluttered in the wind.

Riki didn't really understand why she was there in the middle of the night and rain.

After a few long minutes, he saw her fall to her knees and clasp her hands over her face.

From his room, he could see her back swell jerkily and her torso fall further and further forward, to the point where her face was about to touch the ground.

The rain dampened the girl's hair and the lightning illuminated her for a few seconds.

Riki could no longer move from his window; he was frozen.

After a while, he saw the girl stand up, run a hand through her hair and wipe her eyes, then start to leave.

Riki quickly moved closer to his window to follow her with his eyes, but she quickly disappeared from his field of vision, and the moon now shone only on the hill.
