☽ night on the hill
━━━━━━━━━━Riki had his earphone on and was playing his favorite video game with Jake.
"Riki, it's already 1 a.m." his best friend said before yawning. "I'm going to bed."
Riki grunted, "Come on, one more game."
"All we've been doing is losing."
"But this one we're going to win !"
Jake restarted the game, and just as they'd been losing all along, they lost again.
Riki took off his earphone and put all his weight on the back of his chair. He inhaled sharply and noticed that it had started to rain.
Water droplets were falling on the roof and making a lot of noise. He got up to close his curtains, then froze.
Sora was back on the hill in the rain, knees pressed to her chest.
He rested his elbows on the windowsill and looked at Sora.
He felt as if he'd seen her for the first time. In the same place and in the rain again.
And he felt the same sensations.
He couldn't look away from her. He wondered why she was there this time.
She'd changed into the T-shirt and scarf she'd bought with him.
It suits you Sora.
You look nice.
He caught himself smiling and grabbed a jacket before opening his window and jumping out.
Sora quickly noticed his presence and tried tears quickly.
"I didn't mean to disturb you."
"Shut up." he said almost cutting her off and putting on the jacket he'd taken on her back.
Sora hurriedly tucked her arms into the sleeves and warmed herself with Riki's jacket.
"Thanks."
Riki soon found himself wet and his hair sticking to his face.
"Why are you here ?"
"I wanted to see the moon."
"Tell me the truth."
Riki was strangely serious. His voice was dry and his arms were crossed.
"It's pretty."
Riki huffed and turned his head toward her. "Sora, tell me the real truth."
The girl drew her knees even closer to her and plunged her hands under her scarf.
"I miss him very much." tears rolled down Sora's cheeks again. "I miss him so much I'm sick of it."
